From SIP (stamps ink and paper) to Stepped Up

When I created my cards today, I started with a very simple SIP card. I only used stamps ink and paper. After making that first card, I decided to play around and “step up” the card by using a die to cut out the layer and adding a little bow and some embellishments.

It didn’t take me long at all! With just a few additional supplies I was able to step up the original SIP card and add so much more dimension to it. I still absolutely love the simplicity of the SIP card, but it’s fun to see how a little added dimension can change the whole look of the card.

  1. Loved the story of your name.
Is your husband’s family originally from The Netherlands? Our families came to Canada in the early 50’s.
Your pictures have made me add your location to my bucket list as a place to visit. Thank you for sharing.

    • Yes, my husband’s family line came to the US from the Netherlands. Settled in West Michigan which remains proud of its Dutch roots! Holland is a beautiful place to visit in the spring.
