These handmade note card ideas are simple enough for a beginning card maker or those who want to make greeting cards quickly!
These little birds are so cute and you will have fun making all different designs with them. They are perfect for baby cards, wedding cards, engagement cards, and many other occasions.
This ‘Sweet Songbirds’ stamp is the perfect set for beginners. These handmade note card ideas can be made with just a few supplies.
We are making 6 different SIP cards. What is a SIP card? Cards that use STAMPS, INK & PAPER. Oh wait, we have (2) P’s today–I also used a PUNCH!

Once you start making these adorable handmade note cards, you will want to sit and stamp for hours! I kept my cards really simple but you could certainly jazz them up with a few more layers, ribbon, embellishments, or whatever you want. Start with the video tutorial!
Handmade Note Card Ideas Anyone Can Learn to Make:
I like to call this kind of stamp set a “parts & pieces” set. There are different stamps that go together to make create these cute birds. By having several stamps for an image, it’s easy to use multiple colors together to get these bright and bold images. Are you ready to create your own handmade note card ideas?
I hope that these note cards put a smile on your face. These little guys are just so dang cute, not to mention fun to stamp.

Handmade Note Card Ideas: What You Need
As I mentioned, these are SIP Cards–you just need STAMPS, INK & Paper! I added in the coordinating punch, however, if you want to skip that, you could easily “fussy cut” these images.

Each handmade note card is made with the same recipe – same measurements!
- Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes (the closed size is 3 1/2″ x 5″)
- Soft Suede: 3 1/8″ x 4 5/8″ (don’t like cutting 1/8ths? make this layer 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″)
- Basic White: 3″ x 4 1/2″

Here are the pictures of the 6 cards I shared in the video. I have included both the outside, as well as the inside.

You could use any color you want for these birds. Click the button below to see all the colors that I used, as well as the other supplies.

Hello from Sydney, Australia.
I love your cards Jackie you make stamping look so easy.
Just watched you making the bird notecards, I wasn’t going to buy this bundle but after seeing your cards I now want this cute bird set. You really make these come alive.
Thank you for showing us newbies how easy it is to make beautiful cards.
Regards Gai
Gai, I’m so happy that I inspired you with this bundle. I really had so much fun creating with these Sweet Songbirds!
sooooo cute
I’m glad you liked these cards, Judy!
Your Note Cards are adorable, but right now I am in to deep into Christmas to do to much of anything else.
I was going to stop making cards, but family members, even grown men didn’t want me to stop. Now I just make birthday cards for them. I have gotten involved with two ladies that make 1000 cards a year. They make 500 Easter Cards and 500 Christmas cards for retirement homes. They had no idea what a die cutting machine does or that there were even dies. There was so much I was able to show them. It was so much fun showing them some of the things I have learned in the last 20 plus years. I of course would like to have the upcoming Christmas Cat. Please let me know how much they are. I loved your Sweet Songbirds cards. You make stamping so easy and fun,
Thank you,
Denise
I’m so glad you like my style of teaching, Denise–thanks!
Jackie, I always look forward to your posts. Loved this one about the songbirds and order the stamp set. My inks don’t seem to be stamping as well as yours. I have been told there are a few different ways to “season” the stamps so they pick up the ink better. If you have a way to. “season” the stamps that works for you, I would very much like to hear it. Thank you for all your posts!
Mary, I have a video & blog post all about ink pads, different types of inks etc. See if this helps: https://klompenstampers.com/inks-for-stamping-complete-guide/
I have a question on the one card how did you cut out the nest or is it a die that does it for you?
I used my scissors to fussy cut the nest out.
