I love to keep my card making simple by just using Stamps, Ink, & Paper – otherwise known as SIP stamping! Stamping with a SIP is a basic card making technique perfect for beginner card makers or those looking to make quick & easy cards. All you need to make beautiful handmade cards is Stamps, Ink, & Paper, so let’s grab some and make cards for any occasion!
And… since I can get a little obsessive when falling in love with a new stamp set, I stepped up my simple SIP cards a bit. Both sets of cards pictured below are beautiful and easy to make. The first set is my SIP cards where I only used Stamps, Ink, & Paper, while in the second set I pulled in a few additional supplies. Watch the free video tutorial below to learn how to make both sets!
In this project, we’re designing SIP cards with the Stampin’ Up! stamp set Layers of Beauty. Then to step the cards up a bit I’m pulling in the Unbounded Love Bundle to die-cut my sentiments with different frames. In each set, one card is made using one of the 2024-2026 In Color’s.
Video Tutorial To Keep It Simple With Stamps, Ink, & Paper
In this video, I’m going to show you how simple card making can be when you stamp with a SIP! For Stamps we’re using the set Layers of Beauty, for Ink we’re using one color and black, and for Paper we’re using Note Cards & Envelopes as the card bases with a Basic Black and Basic White layer. Add in an adhesive of your choice and that’s all the supplies you need to make cards for any occasion!

Layers of Beauty Card Details & Measurements
To make the cards in this project I’m keeping it simple by using Basic White Note Card & Envelopes for my card bases. These are my absolute favorite to use because they come pre-cut and scored. For the SIP cards, stamp the floral image in any ink color you have! For the “stepped up” cards, use the same color ink and cardstock layer.
SIP Card Measurements:
- Basic White Layer: 3″ x 4 1/2″
- Basic Black Layer: 3 1/8″ x 4 5/8″
“Stepped Up” Card Measurements:
- Cardstock Layer: 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″
