And we are back! It’s time for Fun Folds Vol 9 card making class. I am (or should I say “we are”?) so happy that you are enjoying our monthly fun fold classes. If you have been participating since the beginning, after Fun Folds Vol 9 you will have 36 unique card templates. These are all designed so that you can use them anytime, with any stamps, paper, and ink!
What is a template? Think of it as a design pattern for making a card. It has all the cutting and scoring measurements on it, as well as all the sizes of the layers. They are easy to use when you want to make a card that is not just half a sheet of card stock folded in half. These templates are easy enough for even the beginner card maker to create, as well as use.
Fun Folds are a great way to “step up your card” because it’s all in the fold… the stamping can still be simple! Or make it as “over the top” as you want.
Fun Folds Vol 9 uses the Forever Fern stamp set as the featured set. Each month, as we teach you to make the templates, I share my versions of the completed cards with the featured stamp set. And then, the PDF Tutorial not only has all the cutting and scoring measurements to make the fun fold templates, but it also has the step-by-step to make the cards with the featured stamp set! Remember, you can start and stop the video all you want to catch all the cutting and scoring measurements. As you make them, make sure to write all the cutting and scoring measurements right on the template to make it easy to use them.

This month I used my templates to make cards using the Forever Fern stamp set. This stamp set is an “oldie but goodie.” It was fun to bring it out again and create some beautiful cards. The tutorial includes step-by-step instructions for making these 4 cards, as well as all the scoring and cutting measurements to make the templates.
