Are you excited for a no-blunder card technique for easy fall cards? I’ve got you covered my friends! Today I am bringing back some cards from last year that I thought you’d love to either see again, or, if you are new to following me, I just know you will like this no-blunder card technique for the most fabulous fall trees!
The Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods is a great stamp set for year round stamping, even though it implies that it is a “Christmas set.” If you did not purchase it when it was “hot” last year, put it on your list (hint: it’s still hot!) . It’s great for year round cards, and masculine cards!
No-Blunder Card Technique with Winter Woods
Pictures NEVER do justice…this no-blunder card technique has such dramatic results. You can easily get a “watercolor look” with just a little ink and water!!! Watch the video to see how I did this. I promise–it’s quick and easy!!!!
No-Blunder Card Technique for Easy Fall Cards
This technique can be a bit addicting. Play around with all different colors and the results will amaze you!
No-Blunder Card Technique Details
When you are playing with this technique, every one will turn out different. It’s kinda an experiment each time figuring out how much water to spritz. And, when it dries, it always looks totally different! Play around!
Card Recipe
- Soft Suede: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Early Espresso: 4 5/8″ x 3 3/8″
- Shimmery White: 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
- Inside: Whisper White: 5 1/4″ x 4″
TIP: Make sure you use SHIMMERY WHITE when using water on your card (or watercolor paper)
Don’t forget to stamp the inside. I used stamps from the Rooted in Nature stamp set. These 2 stamp sets coordinate so well, especially when making masculine cards.
What do you think?
I would love to hear what you think of these cards! Which is YOUR favorite watercolor tree color? Leave me a comment with your thoughts, or if you have any questions for me! I absolutely love to hear from my readers–you guys always make my day!
