Today you get to learn a new technique with this one layer card plus masking technique made easy; (at least it’s new to me teaching it on here!). It’s super easy, has a dramatic effect, and it’s a masculine card! I used the stamp set called Winter Woods in the Holiday Catalog. Don’t just look at this as a Christmas stamp set, the trees are perfect for year round, all occasion cards!
Learn a New Technique with this Simple One Layer Card
The best way to learn this simple masking and sponging technique is to watch the video. And then, if you have any questions, make sure to ask! This sponging gets a little addicting and soon you will be looking at your stamps differently to see which will work on a simple card like this.
If you are reading this in your email, the video might now show up, so just click below to go to YouTube and watch it. While there, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any of my videos!
Tomorrow, for only 24 hours Stampin’ Up! is having a birthday sale! There will be a lot of stamp sets all on sale for 15% off!
I will post all the details tomorrow when it’s time to order, but thought I would just give you a heads up today. If you’d like to see the list of everyone on sale, you can CLICK HERE to download the list.
Now…..back to today’s stamping fun……
Featured Card in the Video Using Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Stamp set:
Here is the card I made in the video. Even though it’s super simple, I think the effect makes it everything but blah and boring! This Winter Woods stamp set makes lovely birthday cards for men, cards for boyfriend, or for anyone really.
Card Recipe (easiest card recipe ever!)
- Shimmery White: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Here are the others I shared in the video, all made with different trees in the Winter Woods stamp set.
This is how to make a greeting card fast but beautiful! One layer card can’t be beat, eeh?
Which tree is your favorite?
I love all the tree images in this stamp set, but I do think the BIRCH TREES are my favorite. What about you???? Leave me a comment and let me know if you like this simple technique and which tree is your favorite! Which one layer card is your favorite?
