How to Make a Quilt-Inspired Fun Fold Card

If you love fun fold cards, you’re going to enjoy today’s project! This quilt-inspired fun fold combines the beauty of traditional quilt block designs with an easy card fold that is sure to impress. In the video below, I’ll show you exactly how to create this card, including the measurements and tips for assembling the quilt block. For today’s project, I used the Stitched Stocking Dies to create the quilt block design and the Brights Painted Patterns Designer Series Paper to add bold color and pattern. Together, these products make it easy to create a card that has the look of a traditional quilt without any complicated measuring or piecing. While I’ll show these specific products in the video, this design can easily be recreated using your favorite dies and patterned papers.

Quilt-Inspired Fun Fold Card Measurements & Instructions

Now it’s your turn! Below you’ll find the measurements and instructions for the quilt-inspired fun fold card featured in today’s video. This is the card I created during the tutorial, but don’t stop there—simply change the papers, colors, and sentiment to create a completely different look.

- Basic White
  - Quilt Base: 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
  - (4) Small squares from the centers of the star pieces
- Azure Afternoon Designer Series Paper
  - (2) Star pieces (remove center square)
- Real Red Designer Series Paper
  - (2) Star pieces (remove center square)
Additional Card Pieces
- Night of Navy
  - Card Base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
- Basic White
  - Front Layer: 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
  - Inside Layer: 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
- Real Red
  - (2) Pieces: 5/8″ x 4-1/4″
  - Inside Layer: 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
