Are you ready for some Stampin’ Up! card ideas that will make you feel like an artist? These are card making ideas that are super easy too!
I am using a brand new stamp set – the Stampin’ Up! SNOW FRONT. This stamp set can be found in the new Holiday catalog and it’s similar in style to the Stampin’ Up! WATER FRONT from a year or so ago. I love these types of scene builder stamp sets and I have an easy technique to share today that will make you feel like an artist when making these handmade cards.
These 2 Stampin’ Up! card ideas barely scratch the surface of all the stamping fun you can have with this set as you build all types of different scenes.

Same Technique Used With the Water Front Stamp Set
When the stamp set called Water Front first came out, I share quite a few cards with it and used this same technique. Here are some of those past cards. You can click on any of the pictures to go to the original post for more details.

Here is the video from 2018 where I first taught how to use the AquaPainter with your stamps to achieve this look. It’s filled with tips and works just like the Snow Front stamp set.

Beautiful cards Jackie! I really like the softness the watercoloring brings to the cards. The Waterfront set is one of my favorites. This set is on my “wish list”. Thanks for sharing.
Love this tutorial. I have the waterfront one but have only used it a couple of time. This makes me want to get it out and use it. Being a long time painter your demo shows me how to get a more painterly effect. Thanks so much. I’m so glad I subscribed to your site. I love it and get so much from it.
I’m so thrilled you are here and watching Leora! Grab that set and have fun with it…I KNOW your cards are going to turn out beautifully!
Thanks Pam! I know you’ll love using this set when you get it!!
Love the watercolor.
It’s super fun! Thanks for watching!
Lovely cards Jackie.
I’m so thrilled to hear that you like these ideas JoAnne!
Love the watercolor cards! I must try this on so many different stamp sets I have.
Enjoy! Have a stamp happy day!
Love the cards Jackie! Wondering what saying set you used?
Kelly, that stamp set that I used for the greetings is from ‘Here’s a Card’ it’s in the cling stamp section.
Hello there,
I know that you’ve been doing Stampinup for years now. I have a girl friend who has the very old Painted Garden stamp set. Do you happen to have any samples or a picture from an old catalog? Sadly I got rid of many of my old catalogs.
I’m sorry I do not have that set any longer as it retired a long time ago. BUT…head over to my pinterest page https://www.pinterest.com/klompenstampers/ and look around there. You will probably find other samples and card ideas that are close enough for you to substitute with. Enjoy and have a stamp happy day!!
I love the watercolor card more than the other one. I enjoy watching your videos and learning new techniques !!! Thanks Jackie for sharing your talent with us.
Thanks for watching Pam!
Is there any way to purchase the stamp set “Snow Front”?
Yes! Scroll through the blog post until you see the section “Supplies Used on Today’s Snow Front Cards” and then click on the stamp set and (assuming you are here in the U.S.) you will be able to order! https://klompenstampers.com/2019/09/stampin-up-card-ideas-feel-like-an-artist.html
So I’m confused about the balmy blue base size. It says 8.5×5.5. When I cut it it’s not the size to fold like the finished project. Please help. TIA
Deanna, The balmy blue card is in what we call portrait view so try cutting your card stock in half (4 1/4) on the 8 1/2 inch side of the paper so you should have a piece of cardstock that is 4 1/4 X 11. Then score that piece at 5 1/2 to get your card base. Have a stamp happy day!
Love, love, love the bare tree with red bird! So simple but elegant!
I thought so too…so glad you love this Barbara!
Thank you for sharing this card idea. I love the water color look.
I’m so glad that you like this!
And it’s a good card for a guy too. I tend to make a lot of feminine cards.
Good to have a masculine card once in a while
So true! We need card ideas that work for everyone in our lives!
