A beautiful and simple watercolor card can be easily made with a water painter & Stampin’ Up! ink pads. This technique is easy and I am sure you can follow along with this step-by-step video tutorial.
To get started with your simple watercolor card you only need a stamp, ink, and a water painter or water brush. You will be looking for different stamps to try this simple technique on. I promise this is an easy card!

Watercolor cards can be a bit addicting as you try different stamps to see which you like best. You’ll want an ‘open image’ type stamp, but one with a lot of detail so that there is a lot of room to move around as you are watercoloring.

Card Recipe (Measurements)
- Smoky Slate Card Base: 11″ x 4 1/4″
- Watercolor Paper: 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
- Flowering Fields DSP: 3″ x 5 1/2″
- Basic Black: 2 5/8″ x 4 5/8″
- Scraps: Basic Black

I used a water brush because it’s so easy to use with the water right in the barrel. You could use a small paintbrush to dip into a small container of water if you prefer.
