If you don’t know me very well, something I am very proud to share is that I am from a strong military family. From my grandparents, my dad, my sister, and even I, and then all three of my kids have served in the military. Yes, I am one VERY PROUD mom! So, with Veterans Day coming soon, I thought it would be a good idea to share some simple military appreciation card ideas that you can make to show your love and support to the Veterans in your life. I really hope you like these card ideas and feel inspired to send a military appreciation card this Veterans Day.

There are not many stamp sets that stand out for military appreciation card making. So my project today includes a variety of different stamp sets. I created with the sets Humble Home, Thanking You, Watercolor World, and Iconic Imagery. These sets didn’t necessarily stand out to me for military cards, but once I grabbed red, white, and blue paper and ink – I felt inspired to create these simple military cards.

Military Appreciation Card Details

This is an easy card layout to send to a Veteran for any reason! Create this to send to them on Veterans Day, or you could even send it as a birthday card.
A simple card like this is also perfect to send to the military spouse. It’s easy to remember to thank the Veteran, but don’t forget about their family members who are also making sacrifices.
- Basic White Note Card: 5″ x 7″, score at 3 1/2″
- Real Red: 4 5/8″ x 3 1/8″
- Brights DSP (Azure Afternoon): 4 1/2″ x 3″
- Basic White: 2″ Circle

Since our military members travel the world, I thought the Watercolor World stamp was perfect to use as a background image! And then with the large Thank You stamped on top – this card is perfect for thanking a Veteran.
- Basic White Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Azure Afternoon: 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Real Red: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
- Basic White: 5″ x 3 3/4″

I think this simple card might be my favorite of the three! A heartfelt card to send to a military member who’s coming home from overseas. Or, since our military members move every few years, add a gift card inside to help the family set up their new home.
- Basic White Note Card: 5″ x 7″, score at 3 1/2″
- Basic White Scrap: Humble Home Punch
