Today I have another card for you made using the Rooted in Nature bundle and I have plenty of die cut & embossing mat tips to share. This one is what I call a “parts and pieces” card because I simply did all the stamping, embossing, and cutting, then assembled it. The dies in this bundle are a bit unique and the video today focuses on showing you how to use the EMBOSSING DIES with the EMBOSSING MATS for the best results. It’s all about how to make a card with lots of pieces, yet keeping it quick & easy!
Die Cut & Embossing Mat Tips & How to Make a Card With Lots of Pieces
Let’s Start with a Video
Today’s video will give you a closer look at the card and show you how to use dies to emboss with the Big Shot embossing mats. Plus, it’s always better to see the projects in a video rather than just as photos.
If you are reading this in your email, the video might now show up, so just click below to go to YouTube and watch it. While there, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any of my videos!
Check Out All The “Parts & Pieces”
In the video I shared all the different parts & pieces that you get with this Rooted in Nature bundle. Make sure to watch the video for tips on embossing using the BIG SHOT EMBOSSING MATS that are found on page 221 of the catalog. I love that you can stamp and cut out OR emboss and cut out. Lots of variety for your cards.
Card I Made in the Video
Here is the card I made in the video. I love how the white card really makes the leaves and words pop. This is a great masculine card and you could add any greeting on it for any occasions.
Card Recipe
- Whisper White Thick: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″ (when using Thick cardstock, make sure to score before folding)
- Whisper White: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. (this will be cut down after embossing–make sure to watch video to see why I do it that way)
- Whisper White: 1″ x 4″
- Scraps: Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Whisper White
I love all the texture in this card and it was so easy to do!
