You’ve been asking so I’m delivering my craft room tour and storage ideas today!!
You’ll be able to see in the craft room tour many of my craft storage solutions, room organization, and various paper storage ideas! I’m also sharing tons of pictures for these craft room ideas that you can duplicate in your own craft room. I spent the weekend cleaning, so I thought it was the perfect time to film this video–you can actually see the counters!
Craft Room Tour and Storage Ideas Video:
Here is a short video as I walk around my craft room and explain my storage solutions. It will give you a peak into “my world” where I spend most of my time (if I am not at the computer!)
If you are reading this in your email, the video may not show up. Just click below to go to YouTube to watch it.
How I Store My Card Stock
This is my filing cabinet where I store all my card stock. There is a file folder for each color. I keep the full packs, as well as the 1/2 sheets cut for card bases, and any scraps all in the same folder. This year I reorganized my colors and I keep everything by color…beginning with the pinks, moving to oranges, yellow, greens, etc… After all the colors I have my white, vanilla, and specialty card stocks. Below the picture of my ink pads I have a link to another post I did awhile back where you will see the order of my colors if you are interested.
How I Store My Stamps
My stamps are on a book case. The top shelf has all the stamps that are current in the Annual Catalog, but were NOT new in this past catalog. They are alphabetical and I have the stamp sets and coordinating dies rubber banded together.
The next shelf has all the stamp sets that were new in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. And the box on the 3rd shelf are all the new ones from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration.
Ribbon Storage and Paper Punch Storage
This is one of my work counters where I have my ribbon storage and store my paper punches.
My ribbon rack is a RAIN GUTTER!! Yes, the kind you have on your house!!! It works perfect and the ribbon just sits in them and I can take them out and use them as needed. or, just pull a piece off!
My punches are stored on towel bars.

How I Store My Ink Pads, Markers, and Reinkers
I did a whole post awhile back about how I store my ink pads. So, rather than repeating it here, CLICK HERE to go to that post. You will also be able to see the order that I store my colors. I have the same for my ink pads as I do for my cardstock in the filing cabinet.

Fantastic video ! Thanks for sharing.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this Willa! Have a fantastic day!!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful craft room with us. I do have a question, what type of holder are you using to hold your tablet for video? And does it move down to your table for filming? Thanks again.
Michelle, I use an Arkon stand. You can check them out here
I just watched your stamp room video; I wish! Would like to know how you store 12×12 card stock. Is ghat in the bottom of your file cabinet?
You could use these same sleeves
Love the storage ideas, paper in hard for me.
I’m glad you liked these paper storage ideas Dawn! Have a great day and thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing Jackie. Love your space. Mine is in our bedroom. Husband made me a work table and a separate cutting station which I love. I’m glad I’m not the only one that stands while stamping.
God Bless
Sheila
Sounds like a good hubby there Sheila! So glad you have a designated place to stamp and create!!
Loved seeing you and where you create. Lots of inspiration. Question: that frame with string going all directions where you have some cards (right behind you) did you make that yourself?? I am looking for something to put my small Christmas ornaments on? Could you e-mail me personally any ideas on that? I would soooo appreciate it. Donna

Wow, I wish I had that much room! Probably and good thing I don’t! LOL
Right, Denise?!! I say the more space the more stamps we can buy!! LOL
Thanks for sharing. Lots of new ideas for storage.
Love your videos. You are very good at explaining the
different ideas that you post. Love that you do the inside
of a card and the envelope.
Thanks Tana…that comment brightened my day. I’m so glad you enjoy the projects I share!!
Thanks for sharing your space video with us. What do you keep in all those cabinets?
I’m glad you liked the video Robin. Probably all filled with more craft supplies??? Hmmmm…. LOL 🙂
What a beautiful space for your card making and crafting I wish I could be that neat. Thank you for sharing your awesome craft room!
I’m so glad you enjoyed taking the tour with me Angie! Have a fantastic day!!
Great video. I enjoyed it. 🙂
Thanks Cindi…so glad you could join me today!!
Thank you so much for the tour and great ideas for
storing and organizing all the “tools of the trade”
Thanks Mary Katherine…I hope you got some good ideas from the video. Thanks for watching. Have a great day!!
Thank you for the tour of your craft room! It’s so beautifully organized! I aspire to have mine tour-worthy at some point! I really like how you store paper, including scraps/smaller pieces.
Thanks for joining me for a few moment on the craft tour today Sandy!
How does your cardstock hold up to being filed not laying flat. I have often thought of doing this but here in Florida with the humidity I worry about the paper curling or bowing. I am always looking for better ideas. Thank you for sharing your craftroom with us!
Kim, my cabinet and cardstock does fine but admittedly I am in an area where humidity isn’t as high as yours. I would imagine if your cabinet is pretty tight (meaning the file folders don’t have much room to ‘sway’) that your cardstock would have the best chance for not curling with the humidity.
Thanks, Jackie. I store all my Stampin stuff similarly. Except that I store the thinlit dies inside the stamp boxes on magnet sheets so it takes up less space in my tiny end of the room. They are filed horizontally so I can read them without getting a crick in my neck–LOL. I store my paper just like you do. I like having the scraps available in the folder with the rest of the DSP, more likely to get used up, in my opinion. I’m lobbying my DH to put my work table in front of the window & move our big bird cage somewhere else–that’s prime real estate! Thanks for the tour.
Your set-up sounds lovely Ingrid! Good luck getting your husband to move the bird cage!!
These are gorgeous. I love Valentines Day and these cards are just perfect! Thanks for your creativity Jackie
Awww..I’m so thrilled you like these cards Debbie!
Your craft room is awesome. Thanks for the tour. Organization is the key. Before New Years I went to my craft area and said time to reorganize again! A couple years ago my husband made me an 8 ft craft table. The supports are towers with cubbies and shelves. This time he used shiplap on the walls used pipes for shelving and built a punch organizer and wood crate storage. I store my stamps and embellishments in the wood crates. I reorganized all of my cardstock by family (regals, subtle, etc) into plastic storage bags and stacked in 12 x 12 scrapbook shelving. I made color swatches for the cardstock (held by rings) and dsp swatch packages held by brads. I keep these at my craft space for quick reference. I think I am almost there with organizing, until the next time
LOL….sounds perfect and yes…it’s a never ending array of changing and swapping out ideas.
Looking forward to watching your videos!!
Thanks Mary Ann! Enjoy!!
First of all thanks for the blog…..i am on your email list and always check you out. You make cards like I like the make them. Loved the tour of your room. I do some of the same things. Have a fortune sunk in those designer paper files. I have an open file caddy for my hanging paper files but I sort by stampin up color families. Each family has a different color of file and each in color gets a different file color. Tabs are the color of the paper inside. I use an old cassette holder for my ink pads. The new style of pads has been challenging but a few dimensionals placed in the right places hold the ink pads properly. I will try the rubber band trick for the framelits. I also store my stamps horizontally so I can read them easier. All my paper pumpkin stamps are stamped onto an envelope then placed in a photo box. I made mini file folders for my 6×6 paper and put them in a photo box without the lid of course. I have a dedicated space in a windowless room upstairs. I miss the windows but it sure does save on paper fading. I called a carpenter several years ago to build me some shelves…..I got tired of waiting and did it myself. Paint covered up My amateur job. Tell that hubby of yours its about time for another video. :).
Sounds like you have a great system in place! Yes….I’ll have to tell Dave people are missing him!!
Jackie-
I loved seeing your happy paper crafting work place!
It’s beautiful! I like to stand when I stamp as well!
So cool! I enjoyed this and gained lots of tips for me to adapt in my craft room! Thank you so much!
Wonderful–enjoy your time stamping.
Hi, Jackie!
I have been experimenting with paper crafts since the lockdowns began early in 2020. Thank you for publishing your video of storage solutions for paper etc.
I have found it really useful, as my craft room is becoming overwhelming!
I’m so glad this was helpful to you Jenni! Thanks for watching!!
I think that your idea of using guttering for reels of ribbon is ingenious, please may ask how you store oddments of ribbon have long lost their reel?
Similarly you must at point pull a reel thinking it’s fully loaded where you’ve only got 10cm left. Do you ever do a “stock take” of all your supplies
Sarah this work for me….a small 2×2 or so piece of cardboard that fits inside a cardboard Velveeta box. I wrap short lengths of ribbon or twine on these. Box will hold lots plus get rid of those bulky almost empty spools. I store with ribbon wrapped side up so I can see at a glance what is in the box. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing that Leah!
Thank Sarah! I don’t take ribbon off the reel unless it’s a very small piece left and then I just store it in a drawer until I’m ready to use it. I pull all my retired Stampin’ Up! products once or twice a year and sell them along with stamp sets, punches, dies, etc….anything else that has retired. I stuff my boxes full and sell them.
I have a question regarding the rain gutters. Can you also use the gutters for holding punches? I was just wondering about the weight.
Thank you
Not sure that would work.
Thanks for sharing. Could you tell me where you got your filing cabinet. Thanks
I’ve had it for so many years I’m not certain anymore where I got it. But it would have been from an office supplies store like Staples of Office Max.
