Are you ready to learn how to make a partial flap fold card? This easy and fun card will definitely make you smile. As you work on making your collection of Fun Fold Templates, you will find that I sometimes go back and pull a template that I already shared and create a new card with it. This will help you see the value of making these templates, as well as how to use and re-use them.
The partial flap card I’m sharing today is from class #2 (July.) If you made the templates, you already have all the cutting and scoring details.
This flap fold card also shows you how you can change the orientation of your template (portrait or landscape).
The Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper is my feature designer paper today and it’s used for almost every element on the card. The greeting is the only stamping we have on this one.
Many of the images on the Designer Series Paper (DSP) coordinate with dies that cut out the images. When you get the Storybook Gnomes Suite you’ll have lots of options– stamp the images and cut them out or just use the dies to cut the images from the paper. For this partial flap card I’m choosing to use the dies to cut out the images on the designer paper.

Cutting Images from Designer Series Paper
For all the cards shown I used the dies to cut out a whole pile of images from the Designer Series Paper.
Partial Flap Fold Card Details
CUTTING & SCORING:
- Crumb Cake: 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″ (after scoring, cut 3″ piece off of the front)
- Designer Series Paper (top): 2 1/4″ x 4″
- Paper from Focal Point layer: 2 3/4″ x 4″
- Inside – Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″

I don’t have a lot of dies, so I’ll have to improvise. I have a couple of small flowers and a butterfly. I guess I have concentrated on getting the stamps.
I really enjoy working with my hippo stamps and my penguin stamps. They’re so cute.
You can also cut images out with scissors until you are able to get some dies. Those hippo and penguin sets are so cute and fun to create with; I’m so glad that you are enjoying them!
