Don’t let the word “technique” scare you when it comes to card making.  I think sometimes when people talk about techniques it means messy, lots of stuff, or difficult.  Well, if you follow me, you know that I don’t do any of those things–it’s all about easy.

So today I have 3 easy cards with a quick sponging technique. This technique brings new life to your stamped images.

  1. I am new to stamping. My question is about card size, what size are the majority of the cards you make? I have been making 5×7 cards, but it looks like most of the card you make are small. Do you buy special envelopes for the cards you make?
Thanks for the helpful videos. They are great for people just starting. Do you sell your cards or just make them for personal use?

    • Most of my cards at A2 size either 5 1/2″ X 8″ or 4 1/2″ X 11″ (so half of a sheet of 8 X 10 cardstock cut in half whether portrait or landscape mode; then folded in half). Envelopes I recommend are the Stampin’ Up! Medium Whisper White or Very Vanilla and they measure 5-3/4″ x 4-3/8″ . 2. Love the cards! I think the artichoke is my favorite. I wish I had your imagination when it comes to figuring out how to use a stamp set. I just sit and stare at mine!

    • I hope this idea inspired you and you’ll give it a try. It gets easier to come up with ideas the longer you make cards.

  3. Love the wonderful ideas and the inspiration I get from the techniques that you use when
you do your demonstrations. I like the floral one as I have stamps I can use for that one.
Living in South Africa I am not able to get any of the Stampin’Up supplies on offer,
but it gives me ideas of what to look out for when I go shopping for supplies.
    Thank you for your inspirations.

    • Honestly, I just rub them on my scrap paper to get the ink off and then use them in the “same” colors. So all reds use the “red” one, etc. Some people label them to keep one for each, but that’s too much work for me. As long as you use in similar colors they work fine.
