A Quick Handmade Birthday Card That Will Be Your Go-To

Today I have a quick handmade Birthday card that will be your go-to. It’s an easy birthday card, but the post is much more.  There is a story behind this card and I have a lot of fun pictures to share.

A couple of weeks ago Stampin’ Up! had their annual OnStage event–their convention.  My daughter Jami attended with me and I made sure she got in on all the crazy fun that demonstrators have!  I made her SWAP Cards!

She lives in St Louis and has limited supplies, so I designed a card for her, cut all the card stock, and sent her all the supplies.  Here is the creative handmade birthday card she made.

Here is the package I sent…everything cut and ready for her to stamp.

She is ready to start stamping!

To ensure she knew how to make it, the video I have I made previously so that I could share it with her as her instructions!

So let’s start with that….  Not only did I make it for Jami, but for you too.  This is a super fun and easy birthday card with a stamp set that is so perfect because it has “inside” and “outside” verses and you could make it with any colors!

  2. Jackie, Do you sell the full package of products for people to make their own Birthday cards. How much would 12 sets of cards be. Happy Thanksgiving

  3. So nice to see your daughter Jami likes stamping and makes some pretty cards too! My 3 year old granddaughter gets very excited when your videos show up. She says it’s her favorite “video” and sits on my lap to watch them. I have given her a few old stamp pads and she uses my stamps to make her “creations”. Have a nice Thanksgiving.

  4. Hi Jackie,
I think your idea to prepare all the materials for Jamie was excellent and Jamie certainly did a great job. I have got the idea to prepare a card with instructions and materials for my daughter as well – as a Christmas present, so she can do some stamping and crafting although she rarely got the time. When she needn’t prepare the materials this will work for her.
Thanks a lot for your idea.
    Love from Germany

  5. Hi Jackie. I enjoy your videos because of your joy and friendly voice while doing your “job”. Such fun. I’ve been making cards for four years now due to another woman not being able to make a visit with another friend. That afternoon just grabbed my interest. It wasn’t even stamping but teabag folding. I’m just running on aren’t I? Sorry. Love your “simple” card designs. Fun to watch. Keep it up. Happy Holidays. Susan

  6. Hi Jackie,
Love your cards! I do more scrapbooking than cards, but have made a couple of sets of cards from your ideas to give as Christmas gifts. I also l ive in St. Louis, so thought I would share a couple of my favorite paper craft stores for your daughter. Both are locally owned.
Checkered Cottage is in Kirkwood. They offer a lot of different classes including cards, scrapbook pages, painting, wreaths and banners. This one is close to me, so I shop here a lot! The staff are all sweethearts!
The Scrapbook Factory is in O’Fallon Illinois. It is huge! I don’t get there often, but when I do, it is a full day. They have everything sorted into groups (travel, birthday, etc.). I keep a list of what pages I need to complete and can always find something!

  8. This is so fun to see the card swap. I use to do a card swap with friends at church using stampin up products.
I was wondering “where” other people stamp if not at the kitchen table or a craft room. It was nice to see the coffee table in use.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family
