I don’t normally post on Tuesday’s, but since Stampin’ Up! made a big announcement today I thought I would do a quick post to share the news.
Beginning June 3rd (or when sold out) Stampin’ Up! will retired the Stampin’ Trimmer and Big Shot from their product lines.
Stampin’ Trimmer
Over the years, Stampin’ Up! has experienced difficulty getting replacement blades, maintaining quality standards, and other challenges with the supplier of the Stampin’ Trimmer. Stampin’ Up! is 100% dedicated to offering top-notch products and because of the issues has decided to stop using this manufacturer. They are currently in the process of researching a replacement, and I am sure it will be awesome and of highest quality.
ORDER YOUR REPLACEMENT BLADES NOW!!!
There is currently a limit of 3 packages (6 blades), and beginning April 15th that will increase to a maximum of 6 packages. Stampin’ Up! says they have ordered quite a few extras, but…. you know us stampers…. When something is being retired we tend to “hoard.” So, order soon to be stocked up.
Big Shot & Accessories
Just like with the paper trimmer, Stampin’ Up! is working on developing a different die cutting machine. However, it will be sometime before it is on the market.
GOOD NEWS…. Stampin’ Up! will continue offering dies and embossing folders that will work in both the existing Big Shot AND all other die cutting machines on the market! AND, they are going to be new and improved (there are some exciting improvements coming to them!)
Once again, I highly recommend you order any Big Shot accessories NOW! These are all the products that will be retiring….
Just a quick post to make sure you have the chance to order any of these products before they are gone.
If you have any questions, make sure to contact me. I am happy to answer them and help you in any way.
I will be back tomorrow with a fun project!!!!!

Thank you for the retiring information. I am a demonstrator and sometimes
this stuff gets past me. Thank you .
You’re welcome!
Do you know who was the manufacturer of the retires Stampin Trimmer? I have both the new and retired trimmer and I still really like the old trimmer and would like to see if I can find blades for it.
Karla,
I’m so sorry but the manufacturer of the old trimmer stopped making blades; they were having trouble getting quality blades, having to hand trim them and it was not cost effective for anyone so they stopped making them. That is why Stampin’ Up! had to design a new trimmer and blades.
I like my stampin trimmer and now I can’t get cutting strips or blades for it!
You can still order these products until they are sold out. If you purchased your cutter through me as your demonstrator, please email me at klompenstampers@gmail.com and I will work with you to ensure you are taken care of.
I’m not sure if I would really like to use the embossing mat set for the big shot. I understand the idea of using them to emboss with dies instead of cutting, but how else it can be used??….Can you give some examples?
Here is a post I did using it, along with a video: https://klompenstampers.com/2018/11/how-to-emboss-with-dies-new-happiness-surrounds-cards.html
Thanks! Love those cards!! I learned some new things to help my making process from the video. It’s just too bad I missed the chance to get those stamps and dies!! I really like the greenery dies. I’m so glad that I am “connected “ with you now, and I will be informed about exciting news and offers as they come up!! I also really like that you provide helps to encourage us to use our new stuff!!!Oh yes-are the Big Shot embossing pads different than the SU embossing mats? If so, how?
Not sure what you are asking Priscilla. We don’t have anything called “embossing pads?”
