This Pocket Greeting Card Was Easy To Make and Made My Day!

If you’ve never made a Pocket Greeting Card you’ll find this tutorial easy and comprehensive. I even made my pocket card with a window! Sometimes it’s fun to make a card that is a little different than just a piece of card stock folded in half.

This is a great way to also use up some of that gorgeous Designer Series Paper that you have sitting around just waiting for a fun project like this!

The video is loaded with tips and instructions so that you’ll be making these pocket cards like a pro in no time!

What designer paper will you use to make YOUR next Pocket Greeting card? I can’t wait to hear!

As I said, this was not my original idea; one of my team members sent me a pocket greeting card like this, and I could not wait to figure out how to make it.

From a piece of 6″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper you can make 2 pockets. You even have enough leftover paper to put on the envelope flap. It’s fun to coordinate everything!

Pocket Greeting Card Measurements

Below you will see the cutting and scoring instructions for the pocket greeting card; the video provides all the details you need. Be gentle when scoring the Designer Series Paper so you don’t tear it.

Several Different Pocket Greeting Cards

Below are all of the cards shown in the video. Each uses the same cutting and scoring measurements, so pick your favorite paper to give this a try.

  • Designer Series Paper for Pocket: 6″ x 9″ (save the extra 3″ x 6″ for the envelope flap)
  • Basic White for card: 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Coordinating Colored Card Stock: 4″ x 5 1/4″

That’s all you need!

The main supplies I used for the Pocket Greeting Card above are:

  • In Symmetry Stamp Set
  • Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper (DSP)
  • Stampin’ Pads: Calypso Coral, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight

For the circle, I used the Layering Circle Dies. The size is approximately 2 1/2″

  1. I need help. How do I get to your blog post to get a description and directions for your card making, specifically the Pocket Greeting Card?

  2. Oh my gosh, this is such a great idea! I have SO MUCH DSP (I might be a hoarder of beautiful papers😂). This will be my new “go to” design to finally use up the reams upon reams of paper I have. I cannot thank you and your team member enough for sharing this fantastic idea!
