I usually share a TECHNIQUE video with you on Thursdays, but I had this WINDOW CARD I wanted to share–I wasn’t quite sure if I should call it a TECHNIQUE or a FUN FOLD….really–what does it matter. I hope you enjoy the video and make some of these easy peasy window cards!

Let’s take a closer look at the card…..
When you open it up, there is another “smaller” card inside. It is peaking through the window on the front of the card.
- Berry Burst: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Whisper White: 8″ x 5″
- Scrap of Basic Black
- The video shows just how easy this window card is to make using the LAYERING SQUARE FRAMELITS
- Here are a few quick photos showing how quick and easy it is!
- Using a square framelit, cut the front window
- Use the SAME FRAMELIT on a piece of scrap Basic Black (leave some room around it)
- Use the SCALLOP SQUARE FRAMELIT that is one size bigger and place over the square on the scrap as shown and cut out
- This will give you a perfectly sized “frame” to put over your square opening the the front of the card!
- Stamp the inside piece, making sure the images are placed so that you can see them through the window
- Stamp inside and use Baker’s Twine to hold inside the card base.

Jackie loved your cards. I noticed you have beenat this for a long time.Years ago I made a card using butterflies when it was finished there were three butterflies in round holes.I wanted to make it for my friend. I have some notes on how to make it but I can’t make it work. Would you perhaps remember it? I really want to make it if you remember a card like that. Thank you for helping me?
Hi Barbara, yes I have been doing for a long long time….24 years! Yikes, I do not remember that card at all, so sorry. Can you just punch holes in a top layer, layer it and then layer butterflies over where the holes are? Just a thought. Sorry that I can’t point you in the direction of the card you are thinking of, but I just can’t recall where I might find one like it.

I made this card today for our upcoming 49th anniversary.(He robbed the cradle!). I don’t have the pretty scalloped edge die cut, so I used regular circles in the same format you instructed. Not as fancy, but maybe more masculine? My flowers are two-step tulips. Came out very nicely. Thanks so much.

I just found this video on the window card. I used to be a hobby demonstrator because I have no bone in my upper right arm and shoulder and they can’t put in any kind of replacement because of all the infections that I had and when Dr Goldstock from Albany Medical Center tried to do a reverse replacement, it would not work because the bone up inside my shoulder was no good. Anyways, this was the reason I could not go out and sell and have workshops. I do have a card club 10 months out of the year. I charge 12.00 for them to make 4 cards. I make two cards and they do two of each. It works out great because they can change them up as they like and pick what kind of card they want it to be. The money gets donated to St. Jude’s this past year and pry again next year. I stopped being a hobby demonstrator because the person that I was underneath for the last few years have taken on too much with helping out stampin up with their conventions and we were never kept up on the new techniques and it would take forever to get back to us but most of all, I bring the one ordering to keep my status and used to go way beyond my status that I have no more room in a very large stampin room. I have not used so many stamp sets that I really need to use. When we are a hobby demonstrator and not selling, we have no need to get rid of retired stamp sets and colors. I have looked now at different posts and videos that you have put out and if I need anything, I would love to give you my orders. I sit on a tall stool and work downward. I have use from my elbow down. This is an old video that I am writing from so I hope you get it. If you could send me a new book that would be great. I know I can look on line to see the new items but I love the ideas they also have in the books. I am always running out of product and if I see a stamp set that I think I can’t live without, I would get it or the bundle. Because of not getting rid of anything for 7 years, I see a lot of new stamp sets at times that are very similar to ones that are retired or some mixed to make a new set. Well I have kept you long enough on this especially not even knowing if it is too late to go through. My address is 152 Academy St. Greenwich NY. 12834. It is upstate NY about 25 min. From Saratoga Springs and about 40 min from Albany and 30 min Sotheby’s of the Aderondack Mountains

Oh my goodness, Jackie, while I was stamping and creating your card, I was surprised to see that I had inadvertently pressed the thumbs down button. An automatic reply asked why I didn’t like your site. I immediately clicked Cancel and then quickly pressed the Like button, hoping that would correct my clumsy move!
No worries….it happens sometimes. As long as you are here watching and interacting that is all I care about!
