Make Vibrant Quick Cards and Be Pleased as Punch!

Ready to make vibrant quick cards and be pleased as punch?! Today I have 4 super adorable cards to share with you.  These handmade cards will teach you how to use paper punches and designer paper to get simple cards made fast.

We start with Designer Paper by Stampin’ Up! called ‘Pleased as Punch’.  This is a new paper that Stampin’ Up! recently released and it is only available through the end of March, or while supplies last–whichever comes first.

This paper coordinates with several craft punches that are either in the Mini Catalog or Sale-a-bration brochure.  I know that many of you already have these punches.  If not, maybe these punch bundles are on your list.  Otherwise, all of these images could also be easily cut using a scissors, or “fussy cutting” as we like to call it.

Make Vibrant Quick Cards: The Quick View

For this one, I used the Under My Umbrella stamp set and Umbrella Builder Punch.  Oh so fun and “springy.”  You can purchase these 2 items together as a bundle and save 10% on both of them.

I punched all the umbrellas out of the paper, but the handles are just punched from Basic Gray card stock.

Card Recipe:

• Balmy Blue:  11″ x 4 1/4″
• DSP Layer:  3 3/4″ x 5″
• Whisper White:  3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
• Scraps:  DSP, Black & Gray

Next up we have the tulips.  For this one I punched the tulips from the paper (or you could fussy cut) and I stamped the leaves and the stems using the Timeless Tulips stamp set.  Again, if you purchase these 2 items together you can save 10% on both the stamp set and the punch.

Card Recipe:

• Gorgeous Grape:  11″ x 4 1/4″
• DSP Layer:  3 3/4″ x 5″
• Whisper White:  3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
• Scraps:  DSP & Black

On all of these cards I popped up the punched pieces with dimensionals.  Doing that truly makes a difference in your cards!

For this card I used 2 heart punches.  They are sold together and when you buy the bundles ti the Heartfelt stamp set you get to save the 10%.

For the hearts, I layered them on a punched scallop heart that is the same color–Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral

• Scraps: Black, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana

And last, but not least….

I really like the layout of this one with the striped DSP in the center.  Make sure to watch the video to see how I put this one together.

• DSP:  5 1/4″ x 2:
• Whisper White:  1″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
• Scraps:  DSP & Black

And there you go…..4 fun cards all made focusing on using punches and paper!
