Do you ever wish you could watercolor?  Want to learn how to watercolor the easy way in a peaceful place?? If you look at cards that others do and think, “I just can’t watercolor” well I want you to know that was Me!!!  Until I figured out that watercoloring can be easy and you don’t really need to be an artist to get great looks.  (at least I think mine look pretty OK). Today I want to share my tips to learn how to watercolor the easy way. To make this even better we’re learning how to watercolor the easy way in a peaceful place WITH Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Place stamp set!

We are using the Peaceful Place stamp set which is perfect for this type of quick and easy watercoloring.  All the ART WORK is done in the stamp, so it’ easy to just add a little color.

You Can Do This!

If you want to give easy watercoloring a try, I know you can do it.  Keep it simple, don’t worry about going out of the lines, and just “slop” the color on!  I think you will surprise yourself as to how easy it is.

Card Recipe:

• Crumb Cake:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
• Shimmery White:  3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ + strip for greeting
• Basic Black:  3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
• Inside:
  • Shimmery White:  4″ x 5 1/4″

Don’t forget to stamp the inside.  It’s also a piece of Shimmery White because I watercolored on it.

Important Watercoloring Tips

• Make sure to use either Shimmery White or Watercolor Paper
• Stamp image in a permanent black ink.  Either the OLD Archival Basic Black or Stazon
