I wanted to make a unique sympathy card so I decided to layer die cuts to get a unique look. I love to layer die cuts on greeting cards and then ‘build’ my card.
You can cut pieces out of different colored cardstock and then layer die cuts for either a masculine or feminine card.
In today’s video I show how to “cut down” dies that are too big, as well as how to create beautiful cards with just stamps, ink and paper. You don’t always need to use Designer Series Paper (even though I often do!)
Layer Die Cuts
To layer die cuts is like putting a puzzle together–only easier! Your handmade cards have added dimension this way. For these cards, just stamp and cut out several pieces, then layer them together to create a card!
I hope you enjoyed the layer die cuts and learned a tip or 2. This stamp set bundle (stamps & coordinate dies) is so beautiful. I love the pieces and these fall colors!
Let’s take a closer look at the card I made in the video, as well as the supplies and cutting measurements.
