Handmade Card with Pink Flowers and Green Leaves

Card Recipes:

All 3 cards today use the same supplies and measurements.  I just changed the colors I used on all of them.

  • Card Base:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White:  5″ x 3 3/4″
  • Colored Layer behind the white:  5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″

The colors used on this first card are:

Same measurements, just changed the colors.  On this card I used:

Life is Grand Stamp Set

All the cards today use the Life is Grand stamp set.  I absolutely love the BIG BOLD words in this set.  It is on page 15 of the Occasions Catalog.

Life is Grand Stamp Set has 5 Sentiments

Card #3

Thinking of You Card with Purple and Pink Flowers and Green Leaves

This time I used these colors:

Make sure to watch the video to see the insides of all 3 cards!!!  These cards are super simple, but the big bold images makes them look awesome!!!  This is so my style!!!!  I think it’s one of my favorite sets of SIP CARDS since I started doing these!!!

Painted Seasons Bundle

Can’t stop here….I am a bit obsessed with this stamp set and Designer Series Paper bundle!!!  Painted Seasons is actually a bundle of products–stamp set & Designer Series Paper that you can only get for FREE with a $100 order from Stampin’ Up! during their Sale-a-bration promotion.  It’s a new product they released on February 15th to the offering of different items to pick from for free with your purchase.

Fun Project Tutorials When You Select the Painted Seasons Bundle as your Sale-a-bration item when you place an order from me!  (this is a personal offer and only available when you order through my online store)

So, since I have totally gone “hog wild” creating with this stamp set, I have put together a collection of AT LEAST 20 tutorials that are easy to follow, step-by-step instructions for gorgeous cards.  Some of the cards are mine, and some are other demonstrators who I collaborated on to create this collection!  This resource is the bomb!!!  You will have so many different ideas, all using the stamps, the paper and the framelits that I venture to guess you will never make all of them!

Like I said, the BUNDLE is a freebie during Sale-a-bration, but the FRAMELITS are an item you can purchase!  It will help you hit the $100 level with your order so you can get the stamps and paper for free!

More Painted Seasons + Life is Grand Samples

In today’s video I focused on SIP cards and did not use the beautiful Painted Seasons paper that comes with the stamp set.  So, these 3 cards use the paper, but not the stamps!  (had to be fair to everyone!). For a better look at these cards, along with the insides, make sure to watch the video.

DIY Card Making All Occasions Cards made with Stampin Up Painted Seasons Bundle

All 3 of these use a piece of 11″ x 4 1/4″ WHISPER WHITE THICK for the card base.  Since I did not add many layers, I like to use the THICK Whisper White when white is my card base.

I then cut a piece of Designer Series Paper that was 4 1/4″ wide, and however long I needed it.  Length varied a bit based on the size of the greeting.  I trimmed a 1/2″ off the bottom of the paper, flipped it over, and adhered both pieces down.

Wrapped a piece of ribbon or twine around and BAM….DONE!!!

Stamps, Paper & Dies

So, not to leave anything out, this next set of cards uses everything in the bundle….the stamps, the paper, and the optional dies that you can purchase.

Well, what do you think?  What is your favorite set of cards?  The SIP-stamps, ink & paper, or the ones focusing on the Designer Series Paper, or the last set?  This bundle has something for everyone, no matter what your stamping style is.

The tutorial collection that I will give you if you select this bundle has all different types of cards–fun folds, techniques, super simple, and ones with a lot of details.  I just know you will love it!

  6. Hello Jackie, my name is Sheila Purcell. I’m a new demonstrator, although I have been making cards and paper crafts for 40 plus years, and Stampin’ Up! products for at 25 years. My uplink? is Brandy Cox. I watch all your video’s, as well as a couple other demonstrators. The SIP idea is fantastic. I love to make simple speedy cards, as well as the intricate fancy kind. I have made several cards using the Painted Seasons bundle and die set.
Thank you so very much for your inspiration and education on the new distinctive stamps. I’m having a little trouble getting just the right amount of ink on the stamp without losing the details. Another demonstrator suggested moving the ink off to the side of the ink pad. I must be doing something wrong because I’m still losing a lot of the detail. Have any suggestions?
    Thanks again.
    Blessings, Sheila

    • My best advice is to practice…I have shared all my tips, and I am sure there are many tips out there, but practice makes perfect. I would also reach out to your spline Brandy and see if she can offer you any other tips you have not tried. It’s just finding that “magical touch” and then it becomes easy to stamp with these types of stamps.

  7. Jackie these cards are awesome! I am on a search for the stamp set… Life is Grand! Any ideas? Do you ever sell your retired products?

    • You can try a google search for that old stamp set. I have retired product sales once or twice a year; be sure you are signed up for my newsletter so you get notifications of when the next one will be.
