Wow, love that idea. Jackie you even design stamps and cards in your sleep. Way to go Dave.
Hi, Jackie!
Wow, I think I will use my Sizzix airplane die to make a stamp! Our 3 grandsons are pretty used to flying, but still love it and are not blase about it. It shouldn’t be too hard to make the different parts of the die into stamps. I think they’ll love it!
Schools here are closed, as are day care centers, and keeping especially the very little ones occupied is a tough call. So I went ahead and die cut themes and put them into their mail boxes. They’ve had Easter, Farm and general Spring themes and I know they loved it – as did their parents! Perhaps you can spread this idea in the US?
Did I tell you we’re coworkers now? I haven’t received my starter’s kit yet, I hope it will arrive today.
Lots of love,
Ineke
Great idea! Thanks for watching!
Dave is such a good sport and does not have the usual engineer’s personality. He is funny, congenial, not to mention long-suffering! Always enjoy his presentaions.

Dave is a natural for these videos. Can’t understand why you didn’t bring him in as a helper years ago. It’s refreshing to see a man play with stamps and paper, using the correct tools. Thanks for the tip of using craft foam to make an idea into a stamp.
Thanks for watching!
So fun, Jackie! Thanks to you and Dave! My husband was listening from the kitchen, and we thought it would be fun to make him a target as well 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jackie!
And Dave, and other stamped!
As announced, I made a stamp from foam, using a Sizzix die. I made 2 copies of the Airplane Originals (yellow) die and glued them together to add depth: less messy 🙂
Next, I used cerulean blue cardstock (a 12″ Ă— 12″ sheet), cut it in half, folded one half double making a 6″Ă—6″ base card. Then I stamped the plane in white, die cut the Sizzix Originals (red) umbrella, fussy cut, used silk ribbon and changed the umbrella into a parachute and adhered it beneath the plane. Thus, it became a humorous card for our oldest bonus grandson (he’s 16, an awesome young man and 99.99% our grandson who came in our lives because of his dad and our daughter). It says: are YOU okay?
How can I post a picture of my card?
I love watching Dave in action, he is so great!
Thanks! We have fun making these videos for all of you!
Love this idea. I tried stamping a square using my acrylic blocks. It did not work very well. I am going to give this a try. Thanks Jackie!
Yes! Give this a try and let me know how it worked for you!
You can also use smaller pieces of foam from the “kid craft/fun” dept. at a store like WalMart. So I don’t have to be concerned about the thinness of the foam, I have sometimes cut the shape 2 or 3 times and stack/adhere. I have been able to wipe clean enough to reuse and store them in either our thin stamp cases or CD cases. I have even stacked/adhered intricate dies like the pineapple OR stacked 2 layers and trace/cut the outside edge of the 3rd layer for depth and stability of shape. Those can also be wiped clean.
I hope you and your group of fantastic demos have a great day today (April 25) for your virtual event. Some of the BEST!
I’m glad this works so well for you Trish! Thanks so much for watching. Have a stamp happy day!
What a team! Great job! You made cute cards.
Thanks Penne!
