Handmade Christmas Card in 3 Color Combinations

Handmade Christmas Card in 3 Color Combinations?! Can it really be time to start thinking about making Christmas cards? It seems like we wait and wait for summer….it comes, and BOOM, it’s gone!  And with fall, comes the time to start thinking about making Christmas cards.

I like to keep my Christmas cards quick and easy so that I can enjoy making them and ensure that I can make enough to send to family and friends.  Today’s card design is one that you could easily copy and make quite a few cards in a relatively quick time frame.  But, the dilemma is–what is your favorite color combinations?  We now have so many great “reds” and “greens” I just did not know what I liked the best as my combination.  So I made this handmade Christmas card in 3 color combinations all with the same card design but I just changed the colors.

Quick Tip Video

As long as I am sharing lots of different colors of cardstock with you, I thought it was the perfect day to also share how I store my cardstock with you.  I have a quick tip video showing my filing cabinet and how my Cardstock is stored.  I hope this helps you if you are struggling with what to do with yours

Now let’s get back to the cards I have for you today!

The first card I made I used Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green.  These colors are fun and bright.  Honestly, this might be MY favorite!

Next I wanted the colors to be a little more rich looking.  So I picked Cherry Cobbler and Tranquil Tide.  hhmmmm….really like these too!

And finally, wanted to go for a more traditional Christmas red and green, so I used Real Red and Call Me Clover.  Definitely a great traditional color combination.

Card Tips

  • I stamped both the “greetings” first in Black so I could ensure placement
  • Next I stamped the “red” flower and then added some “green” leaves
  • After stamping the flowers, I added a few yellow swirls to fill it all in
  • A second flower was stamped on scrap cardstock and cut out with a scissors and added to the card with dimensionals
  • Super easy card!

    • Thanks for your comment about the measurements…which do you think is wrong? I just double checked and they seem correct to me. Can you be a bit more specific so I can see what I am missing? Thanks
