OMG! You need an adorable handmade greeting card idea right? I’ve got a fun fold pocket card that can double as a gift card holder too!
Today’s card is a fun fold that is super easy and can be just a card, or it’s perfect for including a gift card. I am using the Stampin’ Up! Bonanza Buddies stamp stamp set, but this fun fold pocket card is perfect with any stamps and papers, so really, it’s more about the fun fold that the actual project today!
I am calling it a Fun Fold Pocket Card or Gift Card Holder because the pocket is perfect for just a little note, or add in a gift card and don’t worry about it falling out.
This fun fold card is very simple and uses a regular card size piece of cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
You just score it at 2 1/2″ and 6 1/2″
Fun Fold Pocket Card or Gift Card Holder
Need to know how to make a birthday card that doubles as a gift? Or just a cute handmade greeting card that works great as is? I’ve got a solution! Today’s video is short, but it will show you how to make a fun fold pocket card complete with how to score your cardstock and how I stamped the adorable insert card.
It’s simple to make. Just score yo piece of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ card stock (regular card sized piece) at 2 1/2″ and 6 1/2″ and then fold the bottom up and the top down.
DSP Sizes:
- The piece on the top outside is 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
- The inside piece is 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
and the insert card is 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
And there you go….pretty Easy Peasy card today!

Jackie, I love this card/gift card combo in one. For many of my birthday or get well cards, I enclose a little poem, quote or cartoon, etc. and having the pocket will be perfect to hold them. It will make them a keeper if the recipient desires. Thanks for this great idea. Enjoy your day!
