In this project, I’m sharing two easy card layouts that you can use over and over again with any colors or patterned paper you have. There’s no complicated techniques, no need for a lot of tools—just simple stamping, paper, and a layout that does the work for you.
Whether you’re brand new to card making or just want a go-to idea you can rely on, these easy cards for beginners will help you create something beautiful without overthinking it.
These cards keep it simple with just stamps, ink, and paper. I used the Exciting Times stamp set for the greetings, paired with the new In Color inks to match the patterned paper. The In Color Designer Series Paper does most of the work for the design, making it easy to create polished cards with just a few coordinated supplies.
Easy Cards for Beginners Video Tutorial
In this video, I’ll walk you through how to create two easy cards for beginners using simple layouts and just a few supplies. Each card is designed to be quick and repeatable, so you can use these ideas with any paper and colors you have. I also share four different sample variations for each card, so you can see how easy it is to switch things up and get a completely different look using the same layout.

Beginner Tip: Bonus Ideas Using Scraps
Don’t throw those scraps away! After punching out the shapes for the cards in the video, I used the leftover pieces to create three more easy card ideas—with two cards for each design. These are great examples of how you can stretch your supplies and get even more cards from the same materials.
