The big shot is such a fun tool to use and today I’m sharing die cutting tips using Stampin’ Up! Stitched All Around Bundle! Be sure and watch for the big shot precision mat tips too!
True confession time….when I first looked at the Stampin’ Up! catalog and got to page 17 I just flipped past the Stitched All Around bundle. NO interest whatsoever! Usually it’s the samples in the catalog that first grab me, but not this time. And then, a friend let me borrow her’s and I was determined to make some cards that I loved…..something totally different. So I started with my favorite color combination: Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana. I absolutely love these colors together and it totally changed how I thought about this bundle. OK–I admit–I now love the Stitched All Around bundle and I think you will too!

My Favorite Color Combination
What do you think??? Aren’t these colors so fun together. They are so BOLD and BRIGHT!
Let’s Start With A Video That’s Full of Cardmaking Tips and Die Cutting Tips!
Our video today shares several quick tips for using the Stitched All Around stamp set and coordinating Stitched Labels Framelits. The “stitched look” is so popular today and I love that we keep getting more framelits with the stitching. These labels can be used with so many different stamps. Make sure to think beyond the stamp set!!! The die cutting tips in the video will really help you take this bundle to the next level in your cardmaking.

Color Coach Information
In the video I talk about the “color coach” and then I totally forgot to put the information in the blog post!! oopppsss…..life has been super crazy with family visiting for 2 weeks. I am going to do a separate post on Monday, August 20th all about the COLOR COACH. I will include all the downloadable documents for you so you can make your own!!!! So, make sure to come back next Monday!
Stitched All Around Card
Let’s take a closer look at the 3 cards I show in the video:

I think this is my favorite! The Gorgeous Grape truly lives up to it’s name–it is GORGEOUS! And check out all that fun stitching!
Card Recipe
- Gorgeous Grape: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Gorgeous Grape: 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Scraps: Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana
- Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine
- Inside: Whisper White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
- All supplies used are shown at the bottom of the post
Pool Party?
You might question the Pool Party Baker’s Twine. One thing about Stampin’ Up! products is that so many of the colors coordinating with each other. In the past, I always tried to use the same color ribbon/twine as I used in the card. But I wanted Baker’s Twine so I hunted around and found that the Pool Party looked lovely. I think I am finally getting a bit out of my box with the colors!!! Don’t limited yourself with colors, try different things together and you might be surprised.

Don’t forget the inside:

For the inside of this card I used the stamp set on page 117 called Friendly Conversation
My Favorite Color Combination Card #2
Next I used Melon Mambo for the card base. Oh I wish you could see these fun and quick cards in person because the pictures just don’t do justice to the colors. Be sure and watch the video for the big shot tips I have using the precision mat!

Card Recipe
- Melon Mambo: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Scraps: Whisper White, Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana
- Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine
- Inside: Whisper White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
- All supplies used are shown at the bottom of the post
Make sure to watch the video to see how to use the Stitched Labels framelits for the stitched background
And don’t forget the inside–more of the color combination!

One More Card
And, here is Coastal Cabana used as the card base:

Card Recipe
- Coastal Cabana: 4 1/4″ x 11″, score & fold at 5 1/2″
- Scraps: Whisper White & Melon Mambo (ooppss, I did not use Gorgeous Grape on this one)
- Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine
- All supplies used are shown at the bottom of the post

I did things a bit different on this one and put one of the labels on the inside.
What do you think?
Do you like these cards? Did you love the die cutting tips? What do you think of my favorite color combination??? Leave a comment and let me know. I love to hear from you.

Stampin’ Up! Samples
OK, so maybe their samples are kinda cute. They just look a bit “busy” to me and don’t fit my “quick & easy” style. I wonder how they would look in different colors. I think I might have to go pull my bundle out again and try that!
