Today is the last day to participate in the October Stamps-in-the-Mail so I thought I would share one more idea with you for one of the featured stamp sets. Healing Hugs is perfect to make cards for any occasion. Even though it comes with greetings for “get well” cards, simply grab a different verse from another set and you can make any occasion cards.
Today’s card is a super simple layout design that I used for all 3 cards and then simply changed the “words” and the colors on each. Changing the colors sure makes the card feeling totally different!

Learn the Masking Technique in Today’s Video
As I have been trying to do with each card I share, here is a video giving you lots of little tips. This card uses a technique called MASKING that is super simple but makes a big difference. Make sure to watch the video to see how to get the perfect placement of the leaves using masking.

Card I Made in the Video
All 3 cards are exactly alike using the same recipe and just changing the colors of the card stock and the ink!
Card Recipe
- Garden Green Card Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score and fold at 4 1/4″
- Whisper White: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Basic Black: 2 5/8″ x 5 1/2″
- Whisper White Strip: 7/8″
- Basic Black Strip: 1″
- Inside: Whisper White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Don’t forget to stamp the envelope and the inside of the card!
The greetings for this card came from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.
Just Change the Colors
This one has a much softer feel with the Petal Pink roses.
Everything is the same, I just changed the colors of the ink and the cardstock.

Fun With Mango Melody
I love these colors together! Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green. Once again, the whole card looks so different even though it’s the exact same layout!
