Card Making: How to use a baby wipe as an ink pad!
Yes, you read the title correct…we are going to be card making using a baby wipe as an ink pad!!! I have an easy technique to share with you that uses your stamp pad re-inkers along with baby wipes. This technique has been around a long time; I think I remember doing this about 20 years ago!!!! But it’s always fun to bring it back out as I know a lot of people have not tried it. And it’s perfect for making fall colored cards!

We are using a new stamp set from the Holiday Catalog called BEAUTY & JOY. I think it’s a little hidden gem that I missed the first few times I looked at the catalog.
First I made some pretty quick and easy cards using note cards and a little bit of designer series paper. And then, I played around some more and stepped it up bringing in the stitched rectangle dies (my fav!) and some layers and a little more “stuff.”
Baby Wipe as an Ink Pad : Card Making Technique Fun
Here is the video that will teach you how to use a baby wipe as an ink pad in your stamping to get a wonderful “rainbow” look. It’s just perfect for fall leaves! You’ll fall in love with this card making technique!
The ideas are endless with this card making technique, but I always seem to pull it out in the fall.
What do you think? Are you ready to try a baby wipe as an ink pad? Let me know.
Now, let’s take a look at the cards:
The above were made using the Note Cards & Envelopes that I often use since they are quick and easy. I added a little coordinating color strip of Designer Series Paper from the 6 X 6 color collections, and BAM–DONE!
Stepped Up Versions
And then, I stepped each of them by using a few more supplies and adding a few more layers. These were NOT HARD, they just took a little more time.
