Today I have beautiful quick cards to make in simple stamping style. Seriously–anyone can make these simple cards! We are starting with some super simple SIP cards (SIP= Stamps, Ink, & Paper) ….then stepping our cards up using dies. There’s something for everyone here today!
Start with a SIP
Today we are going to start with a SIP and then move to our stepped up cards. The video is filled with tips for making 6 different cards!!!! For the card below, all I used was stamps, ink and paper.
Beautiful Quick Cards Anyone Can Make
I’ve got simple card ideas that are perfect for stampers at all levels. These beautiful quick cards really pack a WOW and you just can’t beat that—-especially when they can be made in just a few minutes. Let’s get started with the video…
Since the video started with the SIP cards, I will start here with them as well. It’s amazing how much difference your choice of colors can make when you create a card.
These cards are stamped the same way…..
The one on the left uses: Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay
The one on the right is: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Pool Party
You truly get 2 completely different feels with these different colors!
Beautiful Quick Cards Stepped Up
The rest of the cards all use the same color scheme as the one on the right above. When I create I like to pull out a selection of 3-5 colors and make a lot of different designs to share with you. These are not my normal color choices, but I do like the softness they created with the cards today.
Card Recipe:
- Pool Party: 4 1/4″ x 11″ (or 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″)
- Basic Black: 3″ x 4 1/4″
- Whisper White scraps for dies
Coordinating Dies
After I made the SIP cards, I pulled out the coordinating dies for this stamp set. They are part of the special release and are only available until March 31st, or until sold out. The stamp set will be available through the end of May though.
On the card above I really love the white layer that is cut with one of the dies!
Card Recipe:
- Soft Sea Foam: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Pear Pizzazz: 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
- Whisper White: 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Scraps: Whisper White, Pool Party, Old Olive
Card Recipe:
- Whisper White: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Soft Seafoam (for the die)
- Scraps of Whisper White
The background on the above card is embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (my favorite!)
Card Recipe:
- Crumb Cake: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Basic Black: 3″ x 4 1/4″
- Whisper White (for dies)
For this card I grabbed a couple more “greens.” I used Old Olive, Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz
Card Recipe:
- Whisper White: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Basic Black: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
- Whisper White: 5″ x 3 3/4″

Thanks Jackie! This is just super timely for me. Making a StampinUp housecall later this week to a cardmaker who suffered an accident that has left her homebound since January. Bless her heart she still wants to stay busy making cards for others. This uses a limited number of items that I can tote some along to sit make a few cards with her after we discuss and she decides on her order of paper and ink. Thanks again – you are a life saver!
I’m glad this is helpful to you Joyce! Enjoy your time with your friend!
