Basic Border Dies: 4 Amazing Ways to Make Creative Handmade Cards

I love making creative handmade cards and it’s extra fun with basic border dies! I’ve got 4 super fun ways you can use these dies. These dies are pretty hidden in the catalog as they are not part of of bundle. They are just border dies and the possibilities are endless!

There are 6 different dies, each to create a different type of border. You can use them on layers, or on the actual card base itself. I have 4 different cards to share today–each using a different border die.

Basic Border Dies: Give Your Cards Interest

Check out the video tutorial for lots of tips for using these dies, as well as for stamping the card made with the Art Gallery Stamp set (one of my favs!)

I hope you picked up a few card making tips and enjoyed the video and the 4 cards I shared. Keep reading for the measurements and supply list for each of the cards.

This post is a little different than normal, as each card uses different supplies. Usually I like to focus on just one stamp set, but I really wanted to show off these dies and share the many possibilities. They will absolutely work with any stamp set.

I’ve used this stamp several times before because I love how big and bold the images are. Make sure to watch the video for my stamping tips to get the different color shades.

This was fun to play with the zig zag dies. I just cut several strips and layered them together. Stamp set used is Happiest of Birthdays.

  4. Jackie, these are great! I have lots of border dies from long before I ever heard of Stampin’ Up that I never use! I have that stamp and die set. Now I know how to put them together for some fun new cards. Thank you, thank you!
