Never Show Up Empty Handed: Easy Candle Wrap Ideas

Making handmade cards is not the only thing I do with all my stamping supplies! I love the concept of never show up empty handed, it’s such a simple and thoughtful way to thank the host of a party. So instead of just buying and bringing a candle to thank your host, add a special touch by creating a handmade candle wrap for it. These simple ideas are the perfect thing to make with any paper crafting supplies you have. You can create your candle wrap as elaborate as you want or keep it simple – no matter how you create it the gift will be well appreciated!

Fall Candle Wrap Idea

Handmade candle wrap for a fall gift for the never show up empty handed trend. Candle wrap is designed with Stampin' Up! products and is a bundle of leaves in fall colors with a bow on top.

To make this wrap, I used a piece of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper cut in half. I adhered Tear & Tape to the edges of the now two 6″ x 3″ pieces and stuck it to the candle jar. This did leave a tiny gap between the two pieces of DSP, but I designed the focal piece to cover it up!

For the focal piece, I used the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. The larger leaves were cut in Basic White, and I used blending brushes to build the different colors.

Christmas Candle Wrap Idea

Handmade candle wrap for a Christmas gift for the never show up empty handed trend. Candle wrap is designed with Stampin' Up! products and is simple with green plaid paper, a Christmas sentiment, and a little holiday greenery, tied and attached to the candle with a bow.

To make this wrap, everything was die-cut! I love using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, it gives so much texture and adds small details to simple projects.

I used the 3″ square from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the candle jar using Tear & Tape.

The ribbon then wraps around the jar to hold the sentiment, which I cut a 26″ piece and then trimmed down. Whenever I use ribbon I always start big to make tying the bow easier and trim down the excess.
