I was playing around with the products in Country Floral Lane suite of products from Stampin’ Up! because I needed to make ONE card for a very special friend. Well, you know me…. I can’t make just one card! I used the Country Bouquet stamp set and dies, plus other products from the suite to make these 5 cards.
When I first set up with new products, I like to lay them all out and grab the ink pad colors that coordinate with the Designer Series Paper. And then those are the basic products that I use for all the cards I make. This suite actually has two different DSP packs that coordinate, I used the Country Gingham papers. This paper pack is NOT just for Valentine Day cards – they are a great gingham print that I know I will use throughout the year.
As I was making my cards, I used the same basic layout for three of them, then changed a bit and used the same layout for the other two. One I got going, I just played around with all the different images and colors to make five different cards.
I really like these soft colors – Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet. I don’t use a lot of pastels, so it was fun to work with some different colors than I normally do.
Country Bouquet Heart Cards
Yes, these could be Valentine Day cards, but personally, I like to send “heart cards” year round. Why do we think hearts are only for Valentines Day?
These first three cards use the same layout, with the background being the gingham paper. The measurements for the top two cards are:
- Gingham DSP: 3″ x 4 1/4″
- Basic Black: 3 1/8″ x 4 3/8″
- Card Base – Basic White: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
For the above card, I cut the DSP a little larger. The measurements are:
- Gingham DSP: 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Basic Black: 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
- Card Base – Basic White: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″

I do not have a normal video today because these cards were pretty easy and I am sure you can easily create them by just looking at my ideas.
