I love when a stamp set pairs so nicely with Designer Series Paper (DSP). Stampin’ Up! certainly “nailed it” with the By the Bay suite of products and today I have some easy card ideas that I think you are going to love. Card making does not have to be hard, take a lot of supplies, or take a lot of time. With the By the Bay DSP and the Seaside Bay stamp set & dies, you can make some beautiful cards quite quickly.
And, if you don’t necessarily love the “beachy theme” of these cards, it’s a great layout that you can use with virtually any designer series paper and stamps!

For these cards I just used my Stylish Shapes dies to cut the circles and the Seaside Bay dies to cut the bird images directly from the Designer Series Paper. I love images on DSP that I can cut out because they are so beautifully colored. And then, when I run out of them from the DSP, I also have the stamp that I can stamp my own and cut out with the die!
Check Out These Easy Card Ideas in This Video Tutorial
In the video I will give you several tips for making this card, as well as show you a few others that I made with the By the Bay suite of products. These are super fun coordinating products that will help you create some quick and easy cards for any occasion.
Remember, the card layout I used for this project would be perfect with other papers, stamps and inks. I know sometimes it is hard to look beyond the products I use, but I really want you to try that….. it will help you get more use out of other products. (even though these products are super adorable!)
Seaside Bay Card Details
Let’s take a closer look at the card I made in the video, as well as the cutting dimensions and supplies I used.

This card starts with a simple card base and then I let the Designer Series Paper do all the work. The circles and the bird are cut from the By the Bay Designer Series Paper. Easy Peasy!
CARD MEASUREMENTS
- Mint Macaron Card Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Inside: Basic White – 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Inside: Night of Navy – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Everything else is cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and the Seaside Bay Dies.
Click the button below for the complete list of all the supplies that I used.

You can see on this card that I used the same layout design, but I stamped the crab in Coastal Cabana ink and cut out with the die, instead of the seagull. I hope that it helps you see how you can change up a card idea with different images.
Here are a couple other cards that I made with these products. Make sure to watch the video to see them up close. Pictures just never do card justice, the video shows them so much better!

It’s always so nice to hear when others love what I’m sharing… thank you so much for leaving this comment. Glad you made these cards and liked them!!
Jackie I LOVE your fun fold tutorials started sometime last year with your husband. Please let me know how to obtain printed copies for the card templates. I wear glasses too and need them desperately for my cataracts +. I’ve had diabetes for almost 50 years yet I am very young senior lol. I take my time making my cards because of my issues with health. I REALLY need to be able to make my shoe box Templates!!! I’m just a beginner that has just recently gained some confidence with using my paper trimmer. Thank you so much!!
Hi JoAnn! You can obtain printed copies by purchasing my tutorial online and printing them yourself. I’m sorry, I am unable to print them for you. My website page to purchase and print tutorials yourself is: https://klompenstampers.com/shop/
Cute card and lovely sentiment Jackie!
Thank you Kylie!
