Know How To Make Quick Greeting Cards With Die Cut Flowers? Watch!

Did you know that you can take die cut flowers cut from designer paper and then create a beautiful greeting card quickly?

That’s right! Let’s try something different to make some greeting cards. Rather than die cutting stamped images we’re going to die cut flowers from some gorgeous designer paper!

I have 4 beautiful cards that focus on the ‘Hues of Happiness’ designer series paper, along with the coordinating dies and stamp set.

The ideas are endless once you die cut all the flowers.

You’ll want to watch the video to see how I made these cards.

Prefer to fussy cut the flowers with your scissors? You could do that too!

Die Cut Flowers + Designer Paper = Quick Cards

The ‘Hues of Happiness’ designer series paper is unique and fun! The same dies that cut the flowers in the stamp set will also cut the printed flowers in the designer paper.

I’m loving the die cut flowers and the success I had at making beautiful greeting cards in minutes!

Card Measurements + Card Samples With Die Cut Flowers

Below are the 4 cards I put together using the die cut flowers from the Hues of Happiness DSP. It was fun having precut flowers ready to create greeting cards.

I hope you try this idea. Cut out some images, stamp a pile of greetings, and then play with all the pieces to create cards!

  1. Hi Jackie,
These are GORGIOUS cards! I was wondering though if we purchase the dies is SU committed to continue making specially designed DSP for these dies for years to come (to get our money’s worth from purchasing the dies)? I know we could use the die cut to cut out on plain color cardstock or some other printed DSP but since these are specifically made for this DSP it would be great to know that they plan on putting out new versions of the DSP for these dies. Just wondering if they had mentioned anything about this for future designs to go along with these dies. All your video tutorials are amazing and your instructions are so easy to follow to recreate our own cards. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing creativity and talent with all of us! I always enjoy watching your videos.

    • Belinda, the dies are made to coordinate with the stamp set it’s just a ‘bonus’, if you will, that they happen to cut out some of the DSP in this suite. After the paper sells out or retires there is ample opportunity to use the dies to cut out your stamped images from the stamp set. Glad you enjoyed these ideas!

It usually takes me 3/4 of an hour to an hour to do one card but with your ideas I will be able to make sure I do not miss anyone. Thank you again.
