Mask, Blend, Splatter Technique: How To Make Super Fun Greeting Cards

I can’t wait to teach you the mask, blend, splatter technique! It’s fun to use on handmade greeting cards and scrapbook pages too! This is really 3 different techniques, all rolled into one to make this fabulous card!

This is a bit messy for me, but it’s quite fun and easy. You might just get your fingers a little inky! But I have had so much fun trying different stamps to do the mask, blend, splatter with! I have 4 different versions to show you!

Mask Blend Splatter Technique Close-Up:

I used the ‘Butterfly Brilliance’ and ‘Slim Sayings’ stamp sets. Want to know how I cut my butterfly stamp apart to make them 2 stamps? Don’t miss the video!

Supplies & Measurements

  • THICK Basic White Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • Basic White stamped layer: 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Basic White layering piece: 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
  • Black scrap for the greeting

Don’t forget to make your inside pretty! I used the mask, blend, splatter technique on the inside of the card to finish it off.

You could play all day trying different stamps for the mask, blend, splatter technique. You will want to use nice detailed stamps so you have a lot of white area after masking.

    Your splatter technique was just what my (Christmas) cards were missing. (With the downtime I have had lately I ahead of schedule for making my Christmas 2022 cards.)
