Homemade Christmas Card Idea

It is not hard at all to come up with a homemade Christmas card idea that is beautiful and simple to make! This video tutorial will walk you through all the steps so that you can make your own WOW card for the special people on your list! These dies can be a little tricky, so make sure to watch to see my tips to make them easy!

Card Measurements

• Card Base – Basic Gray: 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • Score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″
• (3) pieces Basic White: 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ (1 for inside, 1 for each of the stamped/die cut layers)
• DSP: 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
• Basic White: 3 7/8″ x 3 5/8″
• Scraps: Basic White, Basic Gray

The one on the left is a Christmas card, but you can easily make it for any occasion.

Homemade Christmas Idea No. 2 – Less Layers/Different Colors

For the next card I used Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede. This card has less layers and went together a little quicker. Again, it could be a Christmas card, or change the words to make it for any occasion.

I really like the look of the both the stamped trees, and the silhouette trees.

Card Measurements

• Card Base – Crumb Cake: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
• Basic White: (2) 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Layer to stamp & cut out cabin – Basic White:5″ x 3″
• Shaded Spruce: (2) 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
• Scrap: Shaded Spruce

Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper

These cards focus on using this beautiful paper as the focal point.

Measurements:

• Smoky Slate: 11″ x 4 1/2″
• Designer Series Paper: 5″ x 3 3/4″
• Basic Gray: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″

I am not sure which I like better–the silver embossing for the white? The picture here doesn’t do much justice to the silver, but I think on the video you can see it better.

For the inside greeting on these I used the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set.
