Let me show you how to make fabulous quick cards with a card layout you’ll use LOTS.
Honestly, these are some of my favorite kinds of cards….. fabulous quick cards with Designer Series Paper. I love to let the pretty papers do all the work and just add a greeting and I am sure you will love this idea too. You can make up a whole batch of quick and easy handmade cards at once. Then you have them ready to send as needed.
This layout is all about making 2 cards at one time from a 6″ x 6″ piece of paper. And if you don’t know where to start with a 12″ x 12″ piece, I have you covered for that in the video!

Besides showing how to make these cards, today’s video is filled with a ton of tips that will help you in all your card making!
Fabulous Quick Cards with Designer Series Paper
The best way to show you how easy this layout is in making fabulous quick cards is with a video. See how I cut the paper and use a 6″ x 6″ piece to make 2 cards with very little scrap left over. I also show how to start with a piece of 12″ x 12″.
I hope that as you watched, you envisioned how you could use any paper you have. Just combine with coordinating card stock and the greeting of your choice.

Thank you for this fun tutorial!
I immediately made 4 cards and enjoyed the result and off course the making.
I love hearing this! So glad you made some cards!!
I’m so glad these are helpful for you!
I really enjoyed this simple way to use the DSP to make stunning cards. Thanks for the tip. Love it! Going to get started on some Christmas cards with papers I have on hand. Thanks!
Yes, if we get started on those Christmas cards now we might be ready by the holiday!
Thank you so much for the cutting diagram for these cards. Your cards are just beautiful. I will enjoy making some with your pattern designs.
I love hearting that you will be making some of these cards Linda; enjoy!!
I love these beautiful, easy cards. My goal this year is to use as much of my DSP stash as possible. This design will be a big help. I make 100 Christmas cards and have 32 made now. I will be adding some of these to my collection. Enjoy your day!
That’s a great goal and a wonderful start on your Christmas cards!
As always, thanks a bunch. Sure enjoy your ideas and products! But also, I thoroughly enjoy the inclusion of your changes of mind, like ribbon color, as well as your goofs, like stamping the wrong direction for your inside message. We all do it, but it so reassuring when you let us see that it just happens to everyone! And, I have learned the hard way to follow your advise to stamp BEFORE you glue. I have wasted paper and my time cutting the front off, preparing a new base and attaching the two. I guess ‘Stamp first, attach second’ is like ‘Measure twice, cut once.’
I’m so glad you enjoyed these Cindy!
Thank you very much for making the quick and easy cards & for sharing them. I had shoulder surgery and although its been 3 months now I was hoping to make lots of cards. The only way is for me is to keep it simple. Yesterday I made 2 of your cards. I am thrilled to be able to it. Thank you so very much Jackie. I appreciate your
That sounds like you’ve been through a painful process but hopefully you’re feeling better. Yay for making some cards–it’s a nice distraction I bet!
Do you have a cheat sheet for the card and layers measurements. I am having a real hard time
