I am always asked to create handmade cards for men so today I will show you how to make masculine cards + I’ve got tips on layering die cuts.

The new ‘Beauty of Friendship’ bundle is full of different tree ‘leaves’ that are so easy to cut from the Designer Series Paper. You’ll be making masculine cards year round with this set.

Handmade Cards for Men + 3-Step Dies

Usually we talk about 2-step of 3-step stamping, but I am going to call these 3-step dies. It’s so easy to make big bold cards that truly make a statement with these dies and paper. I love how these handmade cards for men turned out and I’ll be making cards with this bundle all year long.

Card Measurements

  • Crumb Cake: 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • Blue DSP: 3″ x 5″
  • Coordinating Layer: 3 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
  • Scraps of cardstock and Designer Series Paper

For each of these masculine handmade cards I used the beautiful trees dies.

Use different pieces of the Designer Series Paper, along with different colored backing of the tree for different looks.

  3. Wonderful cards. I like things from nature and this set is one I could use often.
    Question about the magnetic plates. How many come in a package. That is not made clear on the Stamping site.

    • Linda, I’m glad you like these cards! I’m not sure which plates you are referring to as I did not use any magnetic plates in this project. I used the base plate and die plate #2 which are sold as a set (item #149657) and then I used the two clear cutting plates which are sold in a pack of 2 plates and that is clearly marked on the Stampin’ Up! site “Replacement Cutting Plates (Plate #3). Use with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. * 2 plates.
