Today we are bringing back a throwback project that is a go-to gift card holder template that use often. This is the perfect idea that you can use anytime, with any stamps, ink, and paper.
During the holidays I give a lot of gift cards but I like to find creative ways to DIY a Christmas gift card holder so it’s extra special. This is an easy gift card holder that is perfect for all occasions! Besides Christmas, I like to give gift cards for birthdays, weddings, showers, and “just because.” Don’t just give a gift card, make it extra special by putting it into a cute handmade gift card holder.
This idea truly is perfect to use with any stamps, ink, and paper. These samples use retired stamps, so don’t just “think penguins.” You can make these with anything… today, it’s all about how to cut, score, fold, and create the gift card holder.

DIY Christmas Gift Card Holder: Creative Way to Give Gift Cards
The video will show you how easy this gift card holder is to make. So grab some cardstock and make yourself a template. Write all the measurements for cutting and scoring on it and then you can keep it as your pattern. Then, whenever you are ready to gift a gift card, simply make a holder that fits the holiday or occasion.
And there you go – quick and easy! Remember, the stamps and papers that I used in the video and the projects below are now retired – but I am sure you have other products that will work just as perfectly! Keep scrolling for all the measurements.

These are adorable. Love them. Thanks for sharing the video and instructions. They would also be great to put money in, which is what I give my grandkids for Christmas.
Yes, they work for gift cards or cash!
Great idea! Thank you. I think I can figure it out but was wondering why this video ( and some others) are not captioned.
They should be—that’s an automatic feature that is controlled by YouTube but you control whether they are turned on or off on your device. Check your settings but otherwise, it’s a YT glitch out of my control.
Love this gift card holder! Putting the belly band horizontal gives it a fresh new look. I will certainly use your idea this holiday season. I always look forward to your videos.
Oops, meant to say vertical belly band.Peg Herrick
I knew what you meant 🙂
