It’s been awhile since I have shared a fun fold card so I thought today was perfect to share this triangle fun fold card. Sometimes “fun folds” scare me because they seem complicated, or difficult. Maybe that is why I stay away from them. But I have been seeing a lot of this triangle fun fold card and I thought I would give it a try and figure out how to make it “quick and easy.” And I think I accomplished my mission! It really is quick and easy and there really isn’t much for measuring! I think you will agree and you will have fun making this greeting card as well!
Triangle Fun Fold Card
For my card I am using the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper on page 37 of the Holiday Catalog. How did I miss this Stampin Up! DSP???? I just received it and oh la la…..GORGEOUS does not even describe it. Make sure to watch the video to see all the stunning beauty and shimmery look to this paper!
Fun Fold Card Video
Today’s video will show you how quick and easy it is to make this card. You actually cut & score 2 at one time, making it super fast!!!! I love unique card folds!
If you are reading this in your email, the video might now show up, so just click below to go to YouTube and watch it. While there, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any of my videos!
Triangle Fun Fold Card
Here is the greeting card that I made in the video. Make sure to watch to see how to score and cut!
Card Recipe
- Tranquil Tide: 8 1/2″ x 11″ (yes, a full sheet! You are cutting/scoring 2 cards at once)
- Frosted Floral DSP: (2) pieces 4″ x 5 1/4″ (different prints)
- Inside: Whisper White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Scraps: Whisper White & Soft Sea Foam
Make sure to watch the video to see how quick and easy it is to make this fun fold card… it’s an awesome handmade card to send to someone this week!
Friendly Conversations Stamp Set
The greeting on the front of my cards comes from the Friendly Conversations stamp set. I used this a while back on another set of cards that I posted. If you missed it, here are the cards and you can just CLICK HERE to go to the original post for all the details on these cards.
Frosted Floral Suite
As you look through the Stampin’ Up! catalogs, you will notice that Stampin’ Up! likes to put coordinating products together into “suites.” It’s a great way to see everything that coordinates and works awesomely together! However, sometimes we miss products because we “think” they ONLY go with the suites. This is especially true with the Designer Series Papers. Today’s card uses the Frosted Floral paper from the Frosted Floral Suite. There is also a lovely stamp set called FIRST FROST that is in this suite. I previously shared these products with the stamps, and did not use the paper. If you missed these cards, and want the details and a video, just CLICK HERE to go back to that post.
What do you think?

Sweet! I’m so glad you enjoy these cards. Thanks for watching!!
Love this fold and that I can have a fun fold with 8.5×11 paper. I can’t get my scorer off of my cutting board! Time to go read the directions!!
So glad you liked these cards Ellen! Are you using the Stampin Trimmer or the Scoreboard? I’m not sure which you are referencing.
Loved this card and was all set to make but I wasn’t able to cut the diagonal. My trimmer is a Fiskar but it is for the 12 inch. I will have to figure something out.
I highly recommend the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer if you’re ever interested in purchasing it but in the meantime…I hope that you are able to figure out a ‘work-around’ for your current situation. It’s really a fun card to make. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!! Have a great day 🙂

Do you buy envelopes? Or make them to fit your beautiful cards? You have inspired me to make these…thank you
I buy mine! Stampin’ Up! has really great quality envelopes. You can then stamp on them, or add designer paper to the back flap to decorate them. Here is a link to purchase them https://bit.ly/2TqGUqb. Have a great day Kimberly!
Hi my name is Pat and I am from Australia . I love making your cards Have just put together your Triangle Fun Fold card all went well till I had to cut the DSP and not realising which way to cut the paper it wouldn’t fit. Thought it might be worth a mention for people like me who don’t watch which way the paper should be cut in our cutter. All sorted though by cutting 2 more pieces of paper.
In saying that I love making your fun fold card as the are always a challenge . Thank you .
Regards Pat.
Thanks Pat, Glad you were able to make the cards!
I’m brand new to card making and stamping. Anxious to try this card. I love it and your clear, understandable video. One question, is the paper on the inside of the card actually paper or cardstock? Since, I’m new, I wasn’t sure which it was.
Thanks
Welcome Kay! I always use our whisper white cardstock on the inside of cards.
I enjoyed learning a new technique. Thanks for sharing. From Riverton Illinois
You are welcome–and thanks for watching!
