17 Greeting Cards that will WOW you with Sara Douglass

Today I’ve got 17 greeting cards that will WOW you with Sara Douglass and I’m incredibly excited to share all of this! This post is over-the-top fun to write…and so full of memories and TONS OF STAMPING TIPS!!!!

A couple of weeks ago I had the honor to visit Riverton, Utah and the Stampin’ Up! Headquarters to celebrate my Million Dollar Sales Achievement.  No words can describe the incredible trip we had.  It was a little bit business, and a little bit stamping and A LOT OF FUN!  One of my highlights was recording a video with Sara Douglass, CEO of Stampin’ Up!  So I hope you like my video today – I share 17 different greeting cards all using the Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose stamp set!

Sara was a little shocked that I had so many handmade cards to share!

Greeting Cards that First Start with SIP Stamping!

In the video I start out with quite a few SIP Cards, and then I have many samples to show you that are “stepped up.”  If you are new to following me, SIP simply means STAMPS, INK & PAPER.  You don’t need a lot of supplies to make beautiful greeting cards, and I like to share lots of quick and easy simple ideas!  My SIP concept works perfect.  You don’t need all the fancy stuff–just stamps, ink & paper!

Greeting Cards SIP Style: It All Starts with Stamps, Ink & Paper

The video starts out with SIP Cards and a ton of stamping tips, especially for using this gorgeous stamp set.  First I have pictures of all the SIP CARDS we either stamped in the video, or showed in the video.

The one in the above picture on the left is the one we stamped in the video.  Make sure to watch for all the tips I have as to how to line up these stamps and how to get the varied colors.

And check out the ROCOCO ROSE Baker’s Twine!!!  I show in the video how to die your white baker’s twine any color you want.

Above are a few more using just SIP supplies:

  • To a Wild Rose Stamp Set (STAMPS)
  • Stampin’ Pads:  Rococo Rose, Pear Pizzazz, and Memento Black (INK)
  • Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes (PAPER)

Make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of the post for a complete list of all the supplies and how to order them.

As I said, this video is full of tips for all your card making.  Make sure to watch to see the insides and the envelopes of the cards, as well as a fun little way to package them up for a gift. And then, I even show you how to make whatever color Baker’s Twine or Ribbon that you need!  Did you notice my Rococo Rose ribbon and twine on the cards?  It’s not in the catalog like that!!!

17-Greeting-Cards-Plus-Paper-Craft-Tips-For-Ribbon-and-Reinkers
I’ve got tips any paper crafter can use for budget friendly color coordination of ribbon and twine!

One thing I noticed when I first saw the new catalog is that we did not have a lot of colors of ribbon.  PROBLEM SOLVED–you can easily color your White Baker’s Twine and the White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon using your ink pad re-inkers.

Greeting Cards: Black or No Black Outline–That is the Question!

When I first played around with this stamp set, I experimented with the outline of the flower.  I decided that I liked the BLACK OUTLINE the best.  Here is a picture of the flower and leaves all in the same colors, and then the outline stamped in Black.  You can do whichever you prefer! Let me know which you like best!

Above I used Lovely Lipstick and Garden Green for my 2 colors.

And for these I used Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.  I think you could play forever and make flowers in any color!

In the video I show you 10 other cards, besides the SIP Cards.  They are all “stepped up” from the basic SIP cards, some more than others.  Honestly, none of these cards are any more difficult, they just take a little more time and a little more “stuff” to make them.  Here are the other 10 cards.

17-Greeting-Cards-Handmade-with-Sara-Douglass-and-Jackie-Bolhuis

The above 2 cards are very much like the SIP cards except I added a couple of layers.  Same colors–Rococo Rose and Pear Pizzazz!

How would you like a FREE Tutorial with all the card recipes and step by step instructions for each of these cards?  Well, I have it for you and you can get it when you purchase the To a Wild Rose Bundle from me!!!!

These 2 are also “stepped up” versions of the SIP cards.  Remember, stepping them up a little does not make them harder, just takes a little more time, a little more Cardstock and a paper cutter.

These 2 are fun because it’s the same card, just different colors.  Like I said earlier, you could use any colors for this flower!

  28. I am so happy I watched your video; I am so inspired! I am an addictions therapist in a jail-based treatment program; my clients love to make cards, and I try to come up with a sort of a “kit” for them each month. They are in jail, so there are limits: no die cutting machine in the jail, for example! So I “prep” the cards, die cuts, etc. at home. Lately I’ve been letting them rubber stamp, too, though it’s challenging because of having to supervise each of them. Anyway, long story short: your SIP approach is perfect for my folks! Their cards will not need extra postage and it will be simple enough for the most timid to try. (Yes, the male inmates love it, too!) thank you so much for this inspiration!

    • Oh wow! I’m so glad that you are able to do this for them! Keep checking back— my style is quick and easy so the sip cards and my DSP (designer series paper) card series are great options for them. You can save my playlists for those cards from my YouTube channel if you’d like so you have easy reference to them when you are looking for something.

  34. That was a very nice video. There were some very helpful tips….plus tips for beginners who don’t have all the “bells & whistles”……great information! I at first didn’t like the black outline on the flowers but the more I looked at the 2 different ways the more it grew on me. Then w/o the dark outline you have a totally different look…..almost Monet-like!! Great video & congratulations on meeting your $1 million milestone!!!! Keep up the great info videos & sharing of ideas for all levels of stampers.

  38. Congrats again Jackie on making this great milestone in your business!! These cards are beautiful! Thank you for showing all the degrees of SIP to STUFF cards. I always like the stuff cards best, though my available time calls for SIP! It’s amazing to see the difference between the cards where you show the version with black outline or without! There’s such a difference that the inks don’t even look like the same colors! I really like the idea of dying ribbon and bakers twine to match the ink! Brilliant!!
