It’s BLOG HOP time and I am excited to share with you 10 simple greeting cards that are beautiful & quick to make. Now, I made my cards today as sympathy cards and I used the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP.) BUT, the greetings can easily be changed out to make these as thank you cards, thinking of you cards or whatever!!!

This month the blog hop team is actually using 2 different papers, so you will see others using this paper, plus a few posts using a fun Halloween Paper!

This month I really wanted to let this beautiful paper be the focus of my cards.  I chose to make sympathy cards because this paper is just so pretty, calming and I wanted to have a stash ready to go to let people know I cared. BUT, make change out the greetings for whatever occasion you need. I love how quickly these 10 simple greeting cards can be made!

All 3 of the above cards have the same recipe….just used a couple different colors of yardstick.

  • Card Base — Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, or Rocco Rose:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • DSP:  5″ x 3 3/4″
  • Layer — Very Vanilla, Night of Navy:  5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Inside:  Very Vanilla:  4″ x 5 1/4″

 

10 Simple Greeting Cards Made with 1 Piece of Paper = 7 Cards

These next 7 cards were made from one piece of paper.  It is printed to easily cut apart for 7 different cards.  And, there are 4 sheets of it in the package so with just a little bit of card stock you could make 28 cards!

Left Card Recipe:

  • Whisper White:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Night of Navy:  3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • DSP:  3″ x 5 1/2″

Right Card Recipe:

  • Very Vanilla:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • DSP:  4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

  1. This paper is just gorgeous! I purchased this previously and plan on using this for album flip books. The cut aparts will work for the cover as well as adding to the album pages. Thanks for all of the gorgeous cards. Now I have coordinating card ideas to go with the albums as a special gift. A sympathy gesture could be a album flip book and matching card for the family as a keepsake of their love one

  4. I love how you show us how to do simple/quick yet very nice looking. You are a treat to follow. Hubby’s s’mores recipe inspired me to make something even quicker using nutella and marshmallow spread (in a jar). Using one of my favorite cookies was brilliant—must’ve come from you! lol
