Die Cutting Tip: How To Adhere Detailed Dies
Do you struggle with how to adhere detailed dies??? My solution is easy.
I use 1/4″ of a Stampin’ Sponge, the Silicone Craft Sheet, and the Liquid Glue (green glue.). It works like a charm–and no mess. Make sure to watch the video to see how I do this.
Back to Die Cutting
Remember that the Stampin’ Up! dies will work in any die cutting machine. You just need to know how to make the “sandwich” for your machine. The Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine makes it so easy with the number plates and the “sandwich recipe” right on the platform. If you are looking for a die cutting machine, I highly recommend this one now that I have had the opportunity to work with it.

What is the cost of the new cut and emboss machine?
Hi Judy, I answered this earlier this week but here it is again…. Judy, you can view all the details here
I throw my silicone mats into the washer. Come clean and ready to use again. (No dryer!!).
You definitely don’t want to put it in a dryer but I’m glad you found a way to clean it that works for you!
Jackie, I use power of any can and a paint brush.Just dap the power were the glue comes out on card. It works any time you get glue where you don`t like it.love all your cards ,enjoy watching your show very much.
Thanks for watching Rena!
Jackie,
Love the colors in this card. Did you use Magenta Madness for the thicker die piece? One thing I like to use for these dies instead of “green” glue, is the adhesive sheets. They work really well for this die set. Thanks for sharing all of your ideas. Love them.☺
I don’t recall what color I used but any color you pick will look great. Thanks for watching!
Hi. I follow your blog and love your site. I had a big shot that broke. The cutting plates warped a lot and I always had to buy new ones.
I’ve been looking at the new cutting and embossing machine and watching your videos.
Does the new machine have the same problems as the big shot?
Sue, The new machine is great and more compact than the previous one we had which is nice because it takes up less storage space. All cutting platforms will have the plates warp over time….that’s normal and how the machine is designed to work. You can keep your pads lasting longer with a few simple tricks though: #1 use the same plate to be your ‘bottom’ plate. #2 the top plate rotate using it from front to back and also end to end (so that it’s a different end going through your machine).
