Handmade Card Ideas Inspired By Templates

Happy New Year, crafty friends! I hope you had a joyful and creative 2024, and as we step into 2025, I’m excited to share new inspiration for handmade card ideas to make this your most creative year yet! And there’s no better way to do that than by starting the new year by making 6 new card templates. Welcome back to Creativity Made Simple, where we’re mixing things up again to bring you even more ideas every month.

What is Creativity Made Simple? It’s our free monthly card making templates class! Card making is simple when you use these templates to inspire your creativity. They are your patterns to help you design quick and easy cards, or provide a starting point to step your handmade cards up to any level of creativity.

6 card templates from the Creativity Made Simple card template making class volume 4.

For the Creativity Made Simple series, I have paired up with two of my Klompen Stampers team members to bring you all more creative ideas! Each of us created 2 templates with 2 complete cards – so 6 templates and 12 card ideas total! Our goal is to inspire you to create card templates and use them as inspiration for making beautiful handmade cards.

Tips For Creating With Templates

  • Change the sizes or shapes of layers based on the stamps, dies, and punches you are creating with
  • Layers can be cut from cardstock, Designer Series Paper, or any specialty paper
  • Rotate the orientation of the template to make either a vertical or a horizontal card
  • Step it up by adding additional layers, embellishments, die-cuts, or punches

  1. Thank you for sharing the tip on making flag end ( that may not be the correct term). I always have problems cutting those and your tip just helped me.
