My daughter, Jesi, has taken over today to show new card makers just how easy card making can be when you use templates to spark inspiration. Jesi is a beginner card maker herself. Just because she grew up as a Stampin’ Up! kid doesn’t mean she has been stamping as long as I have. She’s always kept it easy by using kits to make her cards and has only recently started building up her supplies to start creating and designing her own. This is why I call her a beginner card maker and hope that those of you who are new to this paper craft can relate to her!
Jesi is keeping her card making easy today by following along with a few different card templates from my Card Making Template video series while creating with the Stampin’ Up! Cutest Cows Bundle. Cutest Cows Cards
This first card layout is template #19 from Volume 5 of our Card Making Templates series. This template is probably the simplest of them all because it only is a circle on the card front. But look how one simple idea can turn into beautiful cards! Card templates are meant to be a guide for you to create with any products, and you can see here how using a different focal image and sentiment stamp changed the creative use of the template. The next card layout (the “Holy Cow!” card) is template #6 from Volume 2 of our Card Making Template Series. Although the original template is made for a standard 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card front, Jesi used a Note Card, which is 3 1/2″ x 5″, and kept all the same layer measurements. You can get all the paper cutting measurements to make this card template HERE.
The final card layout (the card with two cows) is template # 18 from Volume 5. This card template originally had the three DSP strips on the same side, but Jesi explains in the video that she didn’t like the look of it for these products so she dropped one strip down. I’m just so proud of how she embraced the purpose of using card templates to help inspire her Cutest Cows cards but added her own creativity to them!
