2 Note Card Layouts Using Filled With Happiness

I have two quick note card designs to share with you today using the Filled with Happiness Stamp Set and the Modern Oval Punch. These are products that you will find in the January – April 2024 Mini Catalog. I love the ease of making some quick and easy cards using these coordinating products. The two layouts I’m sharing are super simple, but you could easily add your creativity and step them up if you want to!

Three handmade cards that are all the same easy note card layout. Cards are created the same using the Stampin' Up! Filled with Happiness stamp set, but each have a different background cardstock color: pink, yellow, and blue.

Filled With Happiness Layout #1

I started with the Stampin’ Up! Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes. I love that they come in a package of 20, all scored and ready to use. For these first three cards, I added a colored layer of cardstock that was 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″. And used a scrap of Basic White for the punched image.

These were super quick and easy. I stamped the image first on the colored layer, then stamped it again on a small scrap of Basic White to punch out. The Modern Oval Punch punches only the center portion, so I could easily layer over the stamped image on the colored layer.

Add a couple of Rhinestones for a little bling, and you are done and ready to bless someone with a special handmade card in their mailbox.

An easy birthday note card layout that is designed with the stamp set Filled with Happiness. The note card has a blue background, a happy birthday sentiment stamped in blue ink, and a blue bird that is punched out of white cardstock using an oval punch.

Filled With Happiness Layout #2

For these next two cards, I wanted to switch up the images a bit, but still make a note card size. I started with a 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ layer of Basic White so that I could still make a note card. I stamped the first image (the one with the sentiment that I wanted) onto the layer in Memento Black.

And then, here was the fun part – I took a different stamp (the one that I wanted the interior image of) and stamped it on scrap paper, and punched it out. This way I could mix and match the different “outside” sentiments with the interior images.

Two handmade cards that were designed from using the same note card layout. The cards look the exact same, but one card is red and the other is blue.

I colored the images using Stampin’ Blends. Before adhering to the Basic White layer with dimensionals, I wrapped the linen thread around a couple of times and tied it into a bow.

ONE MORE TRICK – Since I wanted these cards to be the 5″ x 3 1/2″ note card size, I cut my own base from a piece of colored cardstock. It is 5″ x 7″ which folds in half to make the 5″ x 3 1/2″ card. Now it will fit into the note card envelopes that come in the pack of note cards. I always have extra envelopes, so this is a great way to use them.

OR – you can take the note card and cut it into two white layers – 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ – one for the front layer, and the other for the inside of the card!

Three colorful notecards, one pink, one yellow, and one blue. The note cards are created the exact same, just have different colors and different stamps for different occasions.

  1. Thank you for your card samples, especially the Filled with Happiness. I didn’t know how to approach this card. I thought the messages would be interchangeable.
