Whatever happened to the practice of sending thank you cards? It seems like more and more we have strayed away from it and have replaced mailing a card with a quick text or message. I think it is time to get back into the good habit of sending thank you cards, as well as teaching our younger generations the value of doing it.
Nothing says “I appreciate you” more than when you not only send thank you cards but also make your own. And making them does not need to be hard, time-consuming, or require a lot of supplies.
Today’s project features the stamp set JUST MY TYPE from Stampin’ Up! and it is perfect for quick and easy thank you cards, as well as other “just because” cards. I made five different designs to share with you that all use the same basic supplies. This shows how versatile just one stamp set can be!
Let’s Make Thank You Cards

Measurements & Supplies
All five of the cards use the same basic supplies and measurements. I like to share projects like this to show you how with just a few supplies you can create several differently designed thank you cards, plus other cards for any occasion.
Card Stock Measurements
- Note Cards & Envelopes from Stampin’ Up! (finished size is 3 1/2″ x 5″)
- Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 4 1/2″
- Basic Black: 3 1/8″ x 4 5/8″
These measurements are for all five of the cards. The next three have a couple of additional layers listed below them.
- Top Left – Basic White: 3 3/4″ x 2 1/4″, Basic Black: 3 7/8″ x 2 3/8″
- Bottom Left – Basic White: 3 1/2″ x 2″, Basic Black: 3 5/8″ x 2 1/8″
- Right Card – Basic White: 2″ x 2″, Basic Black: 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″
