Waves of Inspiration Card Details

Let’s start with this simple card.

Inks Used for Wave: Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Night of Navy
  • Card Base – Basic White: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Basic White layer: 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
  • Night of Navy: 4 5/8″ x 3 3/8″

Make sure to watch the video to see how I got 3 different blues on the wave image.

This method absolutely made a difference in how the wave appears! Now that I have stamped this way I am not sure I could ever use just one color.

Waves Of Inspiration Card #2

I stepped up the next 2 cards by bringing in a few of the coordinating dies from the ‘Waves of the Ocean’ Collection. I LOVE these awesome label dies; I will be using those quite often with other stamps and greeting sets too.

Card #3 From Simple to Stepped Up

Card 3 is a square card which I love! The finished folded card size is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. Yes! It fits in a regular-sized envelope so no additional postage is required.

Have you ever heard of Acrylic Pouring? It’s a way to make a painting on a canvas by pouring paint. I have wanted to do this for so long, but never have had the chance. Have you?

When my daughter was living in Arizona, she got to do this with my friend Sharon. (yes, I was jealous!). Here are a coupe of pictures of what they made.

This is how Stampin’ Up! designed this DSP. They actually used the Acrylic Pour method, and then photographed the results to make it into paper. How cool is that!

  1. I ordered the whole Suite, I just love the paper and the stamps and especially the dies. That foil paper is so beautiful. I just love it all, I didn’t know it I wanted to spend that much on just one set,
but I can do so much more with it. I didn’t get the cloud punch when it was available, so I can use
the cloud dies from this to use anywhere, just like the others. It’s so beautiful, I hope those that I have received orders from will see how beautiful this is. Thanks for the great “live”.

  2. Jackie, You’re cards are so beautiful — and you make it look so easy… I always leave the computer screen and head right to my work room to try making one of your cards! They don’t always come out as beautifully as yours, but I have such fun and the recipients never complain! I’m so very glad I started making cards, and I’m so glad I found you to teach me.

    • I know your cards turn out great! And…the most important thing is that you have fun creating and that you share your love and care for those you send cards to!

    • I stamped him in different colors on different cards. Not sure I remember but try either Sarah sand, crumb cake, or smoky slate.
