Pansies come in all different beautiful colors, and you will have so much fun stamping them using the Pansy Patch stamp set and the fun color combos I have for you. Stamp layering allows you to really play with colors and create so many different looks. No two will ever be the same. Grab any colors – anything goes when it comes to stamping pansies!
Stamp layering is easy with this awesome Pansy Patch stamp set. You can create quick and easy cards, or play around and add lots of details, layers, embellishments, and more for that perfect “over-the-top” creation. These stamps are easy to work with and it’s fun to layer the images to create such beauty.

Stamp Layering Makes Flowers Come to Life
Have you ever walked through a greenhouse and seen how many different colors pansies are? It’s amazing and it makes stamping them so fun. You can use any color combination. I had a blast coming up with all the different ones so make sure to scroll down to download my pansy color chart.
But first….. watch the video to see how easy it is to stamp layers using 5 different stamps to create these flowers.
With these stamps, you can use a basic design layout and then play around with the different colors and create many different cards. These two cards look so different, yet they are the same. Just different color pansies.
Stamp layering is so fun with a stamp set like Pansy Patch. I challenge you to play with colors you have, try different combinations, and create like crazy!
Card Details
The card stock and the measurements are the exact same on both of the above cards.
- Basic White Card Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- White layer: 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
- Basic Black: 4 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
For the white layer, I stamped the greeting and then embossed it. That gives the card a lot of texture. (NOTE: the embossing folder used in this sample is retired, however, any embossing folder could be used)
The colors I used on the above card are: Flirty Flamingo, Polished Pink, So Saffron, Mango Melody & Black (Polished Pink and Mango Melody are retired colors)
This card uses Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Highland Heather stamped off, Mango Melody & Black (Mango Melody is a retired color – Pumpkin Pie would be a great substitute)
Each pansy is stamped by layering 5 different stamps. The photo below shows the order in which I stamped the 5 different images.

As you can see, any colors work. Here is a chart I created as I was playing with different options. I hope that this helps you get started, but doesn’t limit you. Play with colors, and see what combinations you can come up with. (NOTE – some of the colors on the chart have been retired, but this should give you a great starting point to begin to stamp with your own color combinations.

My mother always grew pansies, she loved them especially the light purple ones. As soon as I saw this set, reminded me of her.
